Ooh La La Cupcakes + Cakes

I was there today for some cupcakes, and there was a fly hovering above the cupcakes. The person behind the counter tried to wave it off but gave up after a few attempts, and I watched it land on top of a cupcake! I told him about that, and he waved it off the cupcake. He then picked up that same cupcake, and asked if that was the one I wanted (gross!). When I said no, he put it back where it was (double gross!!) Meanwhile the fly was still flying around above the cupcakes. I asked if he was going to do anything about the fly, and he tried a bit more to shoo it away. I really wanted to just walk away without buying anything, but I had some plans so I did buy some cupcakes, the ones I thought the fly hadn't touched. Now I'm regretting that I bought them. I think I will throw them away, which is a waste because they are not cheap ($5.25 each).

I picked up a cupcake to satisfy my sweet treat cravings and was blown away. I’m usually not a huge fan of icing but the cupcake from Ooh La La was absolutely perfect. I tried the Dubai chocolate cupcake, which had a light chocolate icing, crunchy pistachio center, rich chocolate batter and was topped with some pistachios. Although small, the cupcake was rich and filling. This will definitely be my new go-to cake and cupcake spot.

I lived in Victoria a few years ago and would frequent this place. Simply the best in Victoria. Hoping one day they expand to Vancouver!

A good treat for any occasion. I was on my walk home and decided why not- I woke up feeling great. I was greeted by a cheering staff person. The choices were difficult. In the end I decided on the Twist n Shout, Carrot and Nanaimo bar flavours. I’m very happy.

Ooh La La made our wedding cake a few days ago. The cake was vegan, as my new husband is vegan, and absolutely no one could tell. It was truly the most delicious wedding cake I've had. To top it off, it was beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. They were a breeze to work with and more than willing to answer any and all questions I had. I wish I had a better picture of the cake (pro wedding shots haven't arrived yet), but I will post what I have here. Thank you so much for the delicious cake, we will be repeat customers for sure!

Gorgeous shop with talented cake bakers!

I ordered a bento Summer Strawberry cake and it was DELICIOUS!!!! It was so moist, soft and had a tasty texture!!! This was my first vegan cake, and WOW. I’m so impressed!!! The bento size was perfect for my party, my vegan friends were really happy with their share. They did say it was sweet, and it is. Just be mindful of that if you don’t like sweet.

But I have a sweet tooth so it was a great balance for me. Will definitely be ordering this again for my vegan friends!

I was a regular back in the day when they opened but stopped going when they introduced a peanut cupcake (allergy) I found out they no longer use peanuts !!!! I recently had a vegan birthday to celebrate and got some of their vegan cupcakes- I am a non vegan and a skeptic- but holy smokes!!!! Like so so so woah. So thank you for making delicious baking so accessible!!!

Couldn't be happier with my HAPPY GILMORE cake! I sent Stacie my inspiration for the cake and she nailed it! It actually looked waaaay better than what I sent. This was for my hubby's 40th and he is a major fan - he absolutely loved it - we all loved it! The best part is that the cake is truly delicious!! Unreal, we ordered two flavours, and the chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream was hands down the best chocolate cake I have had. 10/10!

Best place for cupcakes in Victoria. My favourite is the latest tiramisu flavour and it was heavenly. They feature flavours every month which adds to the variety they offer.
You won’t walk away disappointed if you go in for cupcakes.
The twist and shout and chocolate are some of my other favourites.

We have bought cupcakes for many special occasions from Ooh La La since they opened and didn't realize they also made speciality/customized cakes. I was looking for a Manchester United themed cake for my Dad's 80th and thought I would ask and they immediately sent me a photo of one they did for another client. We were absolutely blown away with how the cake turned out and not only was a it a spectacular looking cake but was also delicious and in my Dad's favourite flavour of Black Forest. From the inquiry, ordering/payment, and pick up was absolutely seamless and I highly recommend this bakery if you are looking for a customized cake (they don't just do cupcakes). They made my Dad's 80th and in his words, this cake was the 'icing on the cake' of his birthday!
