The four of us had lunch at Phonomenal Vietnamese and we generally were not very impressed with the food, compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the city. There was no char on the grilled pork although the flavour was nice and the spring rolls didn't taste very fresh -- they were a little oily. The pickling on the vegetables was very nice though. Service was warm and friendly and very attentive.

Pho is decent. Shrimp salad roles come with a shrimp sliced in half so you get 85% salad 15% shrimp. Drinks are also pretty good otherwise! I like the mango shake and the avocado one as well.

We had the pork spring rolls, the fried wontons and a pork sandwich. The sandwich was not on a traditional baguette and was quite small but was pretty good. The wontons and spring rolls were not good at all. The meat tasted and had the texture of spam. We ordered tea and got three cups of tea. If you want true Vietnamese food, look elsewhere.
