Very subpar pizza. The tomato sauce was bland and the crust was undercooked. Pizza sauce is easy to make -- fry garlic in olive oil at low heat (only until fragrant), add a good tomato sauce, season with salt and a generous amount of oregano, and simmer for 45 minutes -- yet this restaurant likely uses tomato sauce straight from a can. I'm of Italian descent and know good pizza, and this restaurant makes bad pizza.

I’ve been coming here for years. The pizza is consistently good, although the prices keep going up and up and up. $25 for a lump of bread with some sauce that takes three minutes to make feels really steep. But it is what it is. But when I came here the other night, the service was not acceptable. The restaurant was 2/3 empty, and my six-year-old and I waited for over an hour for our pizza. I kept asking, they kept promising, but nothing. They were prioritizing all of the phone in takeout orders over the customers sitting in front of them. Which really isn’t a good policy. Especially when you’ve got a young kid waiting for dinner. You really should prioritize the people sitting in your restaurant. I will say that they very generously compensated me for the ridiculous wait. But it makes me question coming back. The pizza literally takes three minutes to make. And the patrons in the restaurant should have first priority over phone in takeout orders. Take out orders should take as long as they take. I wasn’t impressed. I really hope that your management will reconsider how they prioritize their orders in the future

I have had their pizza before but it has been awhile. After a doctors appointment I discovered that they had a happy hour, so I decided to give it a try. I sat outside on the patio with traffic whizzing by. Service was prompt and friendly, and I was worried that the pizza diavola was spicy ( one of three pizzas for happy hour ). The crust was divine and the best for neopolitain style pizza. Fluffy edge with a crunch and very thin in the middle. They also had a margherita but I alway order that so decided to try something different. Would definitely go back and the other menu items like the meatballs served with ricotta , Ruccola and their house bread. Also noticed some nice cocktails for happy hour which I will try next time. They have Lambrusco which is a bubbly chilled red wine from Italy which is a special little treat and it’s in the happy hour menu. What a nice surprise. Will update this review when I go back. Definitely a return visit is in order.

I first tried Prima Strada on Cook Street and absolutely loved the pizza seriously some of the tastiest I’ve had in Victoria. I was craving it again and randomly searched on Google Maps… and to my surprise, there’s another Prima Strada just down the street from where I live on fort st! 😄
Of course, I had to go and I’m so glad I did. They have a great variety of pizzas, and even as a vegetarian, I had so many delicious options to choose from. I also tried their bread and wow… it’s so good! Super flavourful and fresh. 😋🤤

For those who come here and say it's a great place you people are small minded and have never left the island. So you don't know the difference in what's a good pizza. This place is terrible. The worst pizza I ever seen in my life at any restaurant. Made me sick the next day also. I wouldn't waist a dime eating here
