Indoor and outdoor eating area. We often stop in the afternoon for coffee / dessert to eat at QV's and take a Burger, sandwich or salad home for dinner. We have had no problems with any of the food that we've gotten from QV's

I visited QV Café & Bakery in Victoria and ordered the New York cheesecake. I believe I was one of the last few customers of the day. Unfortunately, the cheesecake did not meet my expectations. The frosting was extremely hard, which made it feel less fresh and enjoyable.
Before ordering, I asked the staff member helping me if she had tried any of the cheesecakes that were available at the time and if she could recommend one. She mentioned that she had tried them but didn’t really provide a clear recommendation, which didn’t help much with choosing.
That said, the environment and overall setting of the café were actually quite nice and had a cool, welcoming vibe. However, based on the dessert experience, I wouldn’t be inclined to return specifically for the food, even though the place itself has a lot of potential.

I stopped in today after passing by this place on my way to Chinatown so many times. I finally noticed they served all-day breakfast and thought I’d give it a try.
I ordered a simple breakfast plate, eggs, bacon, toast, and was given a little metal number sign before sitting down. I’ve worked in food service for 11 years, so I know things can take time, especially when food is made by hand. I was patient. I didn’t want to be a bother.
About 45 minutes went by. I heard the sounds of frying from the kitchen, and I saw other tables getting their meals, sandwiches, fries, full plates, so I kept waiting, telling myself mine must be coming next. I only had an hour for lunch, but I still didn’t want to seem like a rude customer. I genuinely trusted the chef and baristas to bring it out when they could.
But when a full hour had passed, I finally went up to the counter, holding that metal sign, trying to be as polite as possible. That’s when everyone working there realized my order had never been made at all. The ticket hadn’t even printed. They apologized and gave me a refund, which I appreciate… but honestly, I just felt really sad. I sat there for an hour, completely overlooked, while everyone around me was served.
It’s a small mistake, but it made me feel invisible, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

My favorite is either the classic brekky or breakfast poutine. The hashbrowns are always cooked to perfection.
Never has a line and has delicious sweet treats to boot! My partner dreams about their carrot cake, I pick us up a couple treats when necessary as a mental health treat.
Can also reach a gym and four pokestop if you are still playing pokemon go.
