Use to be a go-to, haven't been there in over a year and I don't think I will be back, staff was ignorant,i stood there looking then looking at them kept walking back and forth doing things I'm patient ,but didn't even acknowledged me being there I knew what I wanted so waited till I saw the young lady go to the till then I approached it, then she asked if two pieces of cake can go in same box I said yes . she cut a thin slice and pushed it in the single cake container with other cake I got ....well it wasn't the one I ordered an was horrible tasting ....and a third of the size they use to serve . I got a piece of pie for $2.50and double the size . $15.95 for two thin slices.... is not worth going back to ..I have pic if can post .

I love the iced latte it was so delicious and the staff were friendly.
The scone was good but the frosting was a bit too much. However,‘definitely going to come back here. Good prices too.
My boyfriend liked the sausage roll and the iced jasmine tea! Great price too for everything, we got 4 things and it was only $21!
Update: we go here almost every day and it’s so good and the staff are amazing! They even were able to customize something for my boyfriend as he doesn’t drink any caffeine.
They are always so friendly and kind, and the pastries and drinks are delicious.
Definitely our go to now.

I got hot apple cider on sat April 19 around 430 pm. It was so spicy from a major overload of cinnamon I could not even drink it, by the time I took my first sip I was on the bus. I am in a wheelchair and I live in esquimalt. I do come to oakbay often so I thought I would try it out. Literally my throat was on fire. I love apple cider and have it often....never had this experience before. Also the barista did not know how to make at least 1 item on the menu.

Cozy, ambient, great for focusing and tuning in
I've been coming here regularly for years, back when it was the Moka House. You gotta love local coffee shops with a good variety of food options for breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff, good service, and great location for people on their way to work or the hospital. Find a good study spot in the corner too.

Olivia makes the best drinks and is the kindest ❤️
Much of the food wrapped in plastic makes me wonder how much is made in-house. Perhaps most customers do takeaway…

I see most of the negative reviews are several years old. I’m not sure what has changed but I’ve gone three times over Christmas week while my regular spots are closed and have had really good food, coffee and service. Croissant breakfast sandwich, muffins.
I practically live there!

Great spot, roomy and friendly. Only had coffee and enjoyed the environment.
Really delicious sandwiches with quick service. I’ll be back to try some more items from the menu!
Vegetarian options: I’m not vegetarian but there looked to be lots of options on the menu and pre-made vegetarian items.
Parking: Small parking lot but there always seems to be free spaces available, they share the parking lot with the IDA
Wheelchair accessibility: Automated door button for wheelchairs to come in. Clear path to the order desk
