My mom didn't finish her food, the breakfast bread was hard and the hashbrowns weren't fully cooked and I have coffee grinds in my cup.
Not a big deal but you have to order up front and they expect you to clean up your own plate at the table
Not an expensive place but food wasn't anything special
Delicious vegan biscuits and gravy.
Quirky spot between Chinatown and Market Square. Great service very friendly staff. Ordered eggs Benny and chicken on biscuits with mushroom gravy. Benny was good, atmosphere great, prices reasonable, good chicken great biscuits but not a fan of the mushroom gravy. A white sauce with some hash browns would be better. Will come back to try other things
I’ve been to Shanzees a few times and their biscuits are amazing I would rate those 5 stars. However I got the soup today to switch it up and it made me sick because of how much oil is used. You can see in the photos below how much oil is in it, even after mixing. After 4 bites my stomach is hurting. So don’t get the soup! But from my experience everything is is pretty great!
Amazing biscuits like when I lived in the south. Everything is delicious and flavours are fantastic.
Gluten free biscuits are to die for if you have the itch of a place you should go. Also their specials when ever I have been have always just hit the spot
Came here a little late (they close at 2) on a Tuesday afternoon. Lots of searing and they have patio seating in the back. Ordered the Nashville fried chicken with sausage gravy and biscuit, lemon puff cookie and a kambucha. Really refreshing Kambucha on a warm ish April afternoon! Cookie was light and delicious. The chicken was crispy and good! The biscuit was also fresh and delicious!
Their biscuits were very good. Their breakfast was mediocre. Definitely disappointed that my sausages weren't cooked all the way.
Eggs were dry. Cooked too long.
I was really shocked at how over baked the biscuit was. I got the Son of a Biscuit Egger and the biscuit was hard and overbaked. The service was great and the people were super nice. To be known for biscuits, this was a total disappointment.
Best breakfast/brunch in downtown! You will not leave hungry. I recommend the boomer bowl

A must stop if you love biscuits and gravy! Everything was top notch. The staff were lovely, the food was delightful, and the vibes/decor was very fun.
This is an amazing spot was super surprised how delicious the biscuit tasted it complimented the eggs benny so well the staff was also so kind. Paying before you eat was a nice change too so your able to leave as soon as you finished
A hidden gem in downtown that will brighten your day with amazing flavors.
Shanzee's is a true hidden gem for breakfast in Victoria!
This family-owned spot has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Camping ⛺️ themed.
I recently enjoyed the bacon eggs Benny and a latte, and both were absolutely delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly creamy, the bacon was thick cut ans soooo good., And the eggs were cooked to perfection.
The coffee was also good.
Highly recommend giving Shanzee's a try!
Shanzee's Old Town served us the best breakfast we had in Victoria, BC. They impressed us. The ordering process is simple - you place your order at the counter, and the friendly staff brings it right to your table. They were more than happy to accommodate any adjustments we requested. One of the highlights was the super cute mugs they serve coffee in, each with its own unique and pretty pattern - such a charming touch. The interior is truly one of a kind, filled with retro items that give the place so much character. If you’re in Victoria, this spot is an absolute must-visit for breakfast.
