Tahnee was our server. EXCELLENT job Tahnee!!! WE will be back. Great menu AND quality of FRESH food!
I have been to the Steamship Grill on many occasions. On this particular visit, the Thanksgiving turkey meal was okay at best. The service was, however, excellent and typically the food is quite good, so I'll go back.
Best steak I've had in years! Everything was delicious. Excellent service. Could have done without the broccolli.
The food was good for the price paid, the restaurant was busy so did need booking in advance. Overall very happy with the visit
We dined here twice, first time inside and we had the Big Kahuna and the tomato fish soup which were both delicious, we returned last night so that we could sit on the patio. The heater kept us warm in the evening chill and we had mixed grilled fish, chowder and bang bang chicken, again all very no good. Two glasses of wine and we enjoyed our last night in Victoria. Great food
We had an amazing dinner on the patio. The seafood chowder and crab bisque was amazing. My friends sirloin was cooked to perfection. My only complaint would be the shrimp with his steak was just lukewarm. The service was fast. I definitely would go back.
The food is always very well prepared and delicious however it can be a bit expensive. Great ambiance and views of the inner harbour in Victoria, BC with friendly service.
We've been here several times before. The lobster ravioli is wonderful as was the steak. And don't forget the drunken doughnuts for dessert!
Our service was unbelievably poor-don't think Olivia wanted to be working that day. Right from the start she had a disapproving attitude - I told her as she sat us that we were old friends that hadn't seen each other in 36 years. We were not loud but enjoying many stories and catching up. As we have a daughter in the Vancouver hospitality business we are very aware of taking up valuable table room if in a busy restaurant-many empty tables around us so we drank and ate in no hurry. When I ventured to the washroom Olivia's instructions were snappy, short and brusk. Drinks and food were good - too bad the service was so very poor.
• Nice view on the terrace (but partially blocked by a structure)
• Friendly staff
• Very tasty food (had the Vegan Burger & fries), fresh beer (had the ‘Lighthouse Tropical Hazy IPA’).

Two years ago, I had the chowder and was very impressed. Still as good as I remembered, perhaps better. My memories have been validated. Bit surprised that it was quite empty at 12:30 pm, Thursday.

Excellent food. Excellent service. View of harbour slightly obstructed but not really an issue.
We had such a good meal. Crabcakes, blackened fish, kids pasta dish. We needed a dairy free option and the blackened fish was not hot spicy and delicious. I had the seafood chowder and it was vet tasty. Service was ok, attentive but they were busy. Kids menus was decent.

Wow service was terrible. Food was good but honestly the tables were so sticky it impacts your impression of the food. This place is really tired inside. If you go do the patio. And come in with low expectations.
We sat outside and just in time for the early bird specials. My mojito was yummy and the food was great. The server was friendly and attentive.
