Great staff and baked goods. Flower and plants are a cool find here too

Good coffee, plenty of pastries to choose from and nice cashier. I could come here every morning if I’m around the area.

We stumbled upon this place on a walk and it is just so cute. Convenience items plus baked goods. Got one of their pecan bars that was delicious!

Old fashioned donut was a blast

I’ve traveled all over the world, and had croissants from many places. However this place has what I would say the BEST croissants in the world, and they are not very expensive either.

Delicious Carrot cake!! Highly recommend stopping by when you‘re in Victoria!

Was out for a morning walk and the scent of fresh baking and pastries caught my attention. I love this cute little corner store. Croissant was wonderful and the flower arrangements were magnificent!

Great little bodega. They were open even after a snow storm; ensuring that we were able to get warm coffee and pastries on our vacation.
Located at the Government street, the beautiful shop serves delicious pastries. Local owned and operated. It’s a good neighbourhood bakery with a beautiful collection of flowers upfront including roses, cacti, Chrysanthemums and my favourites Lillies. A must visit for the explorers.

One stop shop - they have everything from soup to nuts - lottery tickets, fresh baked goods, coffee, pop, newspapers, flowers, lottery tickets, the world's best truffles...all from Victoria's oldest store and served with a smile!

I was visiting Victoria via cruise ship and had the great fortune of being introduced to the absolutely delicious Terrible Truffles chocolate. I only bought three items and I really regret that I did not grab a few more now that I am back home. The chocolate covered Mango is exquisite, just the right balance of fruit to chocolate. I especially loved the white chocolate hazelnut bark. If you are in the area and are a chocolate lover you don't want to miss getting some.

This little gem of a grocery store/bakery was a delightful find. Every morning, a variety of scrumptious freshly baked scones and muffins as well as other baked goods filled their counter top bakery shelves - add in a cup of their coffee and it made a filling breakfast or meal. There was a nice selection of really good hand made chocolates available! Beautiful fresh cut flowers for sale were attractively placed by the door. Outside the store, there was a place to sit and enjoy your food. If you are a game enthusiast, a table had an inlaid game board for chess or checkers.

Perhaps I'm biased, but I love a good chocolate! Went there for a chocolate and a snack last weekend; parking was not hard to find despite it being on the street. Lovely collection of flowers at the front of the Birdcage as well available for purchase. The shop has other goods inside- please note there's no sitting area inside, but there's benches around the block or elsewhere nearby.Got a coffee, a Nanaimo bar and a bag of chocolate almond bark. I'm very satisfied with it, hubby and I sat at a picnic bench across the street, but I'm sure it would be just as nice to drink coffee and walk around Government street and the surrounding neighborhood as well. It's a nice stop for a treat.
