Atmosphere and service were great, but the food itself was just average.

It's tucked away in a quiet corner near UVic, so it can be a little tricky to find the first time. But that's also what makes it a bit of a hidden gem. There's a courtyard and a pond right inside the restaurant. The vibe feels like a lodge nestled in a scenic spot.

The servers were nice and attentive. The menu was pretty varied too, going beyond basic burgers and sandwiches to include tacos, poke bowls, etc.

Overall it was a pleasant experience, but the food fell short compared to specialty spots. It wasn't bad, just not quite good enough to call delicious either. That said, the plating was very appetizing.

A nice spot to eat surrounded by quiet, green forest scenery. Just don't go in expecting specialty-restaurant-level flavor.

Christmas Buffet lunch was awesome this year, all hot items were very fresh and tasty, meats were moist and tender, vegetables tender crisp and salads crunchy in a good way! The desert table didn't disappoint either, with plum pudding leading the way and backed up with carrot cake, Naniamo bars and assorted cookies amount other things. Very nice indeed!

I've been here twice, and each time the food was delicious and high quality. The atmosphere is lovely as well. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We hosted our wedding reception here and it was a spectacular night.

The venue itself is beautiful with a lovely space inside and a picturesque pond in the back.

The management, service, food, and bar program are all incredible and we'd recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you Morgan for all the help in making our wedding such a wonderful event!

Lovely little vacation on campus. Aside from having my marriage reception there in the 90's, I was a member for a time decades later and have been to several events, or just wandered by after work for a meal and a drink. Nice surroundings with the headwaters of Bowkers creek outside on the patio. Occasional deer sightings and of course water fowl in the pond. For a while they had a whisky club that I was a member of. Perry the bartender was absolutely brilliant.

Went here for lunch on a rainy day at UVic. I enjoyed the ambiance and the view, even with the rain. Service was attentive. I grabbed a burger for lunch and coffee. A reasonably solid place for anyone looking for a nicer lunch spot on campus.
