I really enjoyed celebrating my birthday here last year. Thank you for the delicious vegetarian dishes and atmosphere. Your staff were great. You will be missed!

Appalled by the service I received today. We were seated with my elderly grandmother and offered a drinks menu, we ordered our drinks and WITHOUT CONSULTING US they brought a full tea at $45 a head over to us. They never asked if we wanted that, and hadn't even bothered checking if we had allergies. As somebody who doesn't eat dairy or eggs I was unable to eat a single thing on the platter that had been forced upon us, and yet the bill still came to over $130... Unacceptable. My partner was embarrassed and paid our bill, but considering the food wasn't consensual at all the price is astronomically high. We had intended to order lunch from the menu but weren't even given the option to, and felt forced to accept the platter involuntarily. Looking around the room everybody else had been given the opportunity to order as they pleased and I don't understand why we were singled out like this. Perhaps because we had a senior with us they figured we wouldn't make a fuss at being blatantly ripped off?

We had a lovely high tea at the Venus Sophia Tea Room. The decor is charming and eclectic, which pairs well with the low-key atmosphere of the establishment. The Signature High Tea was fantastic--it's probably a good idea to come with a big appetite because I was not able to finish everything. The sandwiches were delicate and fresh; the scone was perfect (great crumb, not too dry); and the desserts made for a great finish. Everything was excellent, and the staff was kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Venus Sophia Tea Room.

My lovely friend brought me here for my birthday for High Tea. Nestled in China town it was the perfect gift. The food was delicious and the service and surroundings were lovely. A beautifully decorated English restaurant with a menu as well as a high tea You can order off the menu too. I can’t wait to go back. And prices were absolutely reasonable.

My siblings and I took my mother for afternoon tea this afternoon for Christmas. We were all very exciting but left feeling very hungry and vastly overpaid. We were wildly shocked and disappointed about the quality and quantity of food based on the price.

I went in to acutally just use the washrooms. Felt bad doing that without purchasing anything, to ordered a two scones and a cafe lattte to go. How little did I know what "typical english tea time is all about............. " for the money I paid for two small scones and a latte, I could have gone for dinner............. but it was all worth it, first experience of mine in that range of food, even I have been in England., London a couple of times, I have never done and had high tea before. Been there, done that.

A nice place to take a break with a cup of tea near Fan tan alley in Chinatown. Staff was friendly and they have lots of selection of tea and also afternoon tea options

We loved this place! And were amazed at how diverse and tasty the food was considering that it was all vegetarian (not being a vegetarian, we did not know what to expect).

To Start on a positive note, the service was really fast and friendly, and the food was delicious and so was the tea. The set up was beautiful and felt super relaxing to be in. on a negative note, my boyfriend and I went there for two afternoon teas where you get just one choice of tea and a three tier tray. and that's a charge of $42 per person. The thing I did not get was why did we pay $84 when we only got one three tier tray instead of two, when each person should have gotten one three tier tray because that was in the price... I thought that price was a bit high and we left confused with what we paid for exactly...

Hm~ great tea but not so much for the dessert. I ordered tiramisu while my husband ordered lemon cheesecake. They're okay, but not great. I can easily find a better tiramisu in any place in Singapore (chateraise bakery, poulet restaurant, etc) unfortunately. The place is pretty at least. Serving is a bit slow.

We had a lovely time. Our server was very attentive. All the sandwiches were super tasty and filling, we only made it through the bottom two tiers and took the third home with us

This decorated from the heart, light and airy tea room in the heart of Victoria's ChinaTown district is sweet in more ways than one! My tween children (including a boy) enjoyed their tower of treats, and even bought some tea on the way out from the store. We went on a Sunday morning and it was not overcrowded, and it was priced so much more reasonably well than the Empress. Also got to see Fan Tan Alley, just down the street. Great service. If you want gluten free, you need to provide at least 24 hours notice, but what they served was like a delicious dream for my GF daughter.

My friend & I were visiting from the US. I googled the Venus Sophia & decided it would be a nice place for our tea experience. We both enjoyed the afternoon tea express. Unfortunately, the service could've been better. When we first arrived we were seated at the front of restaurant. The hostess stated it was busy & asked if we had reservations, but we clearly noticed a few tables that were open. I told her we would prefer sitting inside not at entrance of restaurant. I almost decided to leave but thought it would be an inconvenience to my friend & I since we only had a few hours in the area & didn't look into other places for tea. The hostess finally came back after several minutes of us waiting to say a table was open. Interesting to us because the table was open the entire time, & a couple more. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, desserts & tea. Definitely made the best of our time there despite the disservice we initially received.
