Absolutely delicious food and unique thoughtful cocktails. This is a place for foodies and people who want to try absolutely delicious but creative and unconventional cuisine. The bartenders create new mixes every several months and they use innovative methods to add new flavors to the mix. The fried chicken what's potentially one of the most flavorful forms of chicken I've ever tasted. Beef tartare on toast was simply exquisite. The oysters were delicious as a post dinner treat. The patio with blankets and heaters was a perfect area for a quiet conversation night. Servers are down to earth helpful and the mood is calm and stylish. Perfect dinner experience.

Received an e-gift card for this restaurant and finally used it with some out of town guests. It was easy to make reservations online, however, by the time we booked, the only options available were either early in the evening, or very late in the evening. If looking for mid-evening, just be aware that this place is very popular and you may want to plan that well in advance.
The menu, without being overwhelming, has a great selection of vegetarian and meat options. I highly recommend making mention of any dietary concerns to your server because there are a few interesting, and surprising, ingredients that are used in some of the dishes. The server was very well-versed in pointing out specific dishes to us, which made our decision making easier. Our appetizers and main courses were all unique, and a true taste experience. No room for dessert this time, but we will definitely be back to check them out another time.
We received rock-star service from all of the staff that we encountered, and their enthusiasm for creating an exceptional customer experience contributes to the warm and inviting atmosphere of this tastefully designed establishment.

When we arrived for our reservation they were ready for us and we mentioned in our reservation that one of our guests has a garlic allergy and they already had a copy of the menu with items that contained garlic noted so it was extremely easy to navigate for her saving both the servers and kitchen time. It was a first for the guest to feel so welcomed and have the offending allergen so clearly laid out. We were truly impressed with this so carefully attended to. I wished other restaurants were so considerate of allergies because navigating them sometimes can cause a bit of humiliation when it shouldn't. The attention to detail was superb, the food and the service was outstanding.

Our Friends Christmas dinner for 7 was fantastic. We all had the Chef’s tasting menu, and we can’t say enough about how great it was and we are still thinking about it days later! The service was great, plates arrived warm and spaced out enough that we didn’t feel rushed and could enjoy the company as well as dinner. We also couldn’t forget the Tater Tots, these are a don’t miss. We had one miss on a cocktail, but the server was gracious and let us order a replacement.

Visiting Victoria on a Monday night, we were happily surprised to find Wind Cries Mary open. We dropped in and were welcomed with seats at the bar, which turned out to be the perfect way to settle in and take in the energy of the room. The food and wine were excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere struck a great balance between lively and intimate. Easily one of the highlights of our visit. Highly recommended.

We ate here on our first night visiting the city! We ordered 4 dishes to share - the glazed carrots, tater tots, fried chicken and spaghetti bolognese. We truly loved all four dishes. Ingredients were fresh and you could taste the quality. We especially enjoyed all the house made touches in each dish. We both left full and satisfied! Would highly recommend this quaint little restaurant!

This is our go-to restaurant when downtown with kids for their happy hour menu. Ordered the: -mac&cheese was Al dente but a wee bit dry -gougeres lacked flavor -lingcod dip was amazing as usual but quantity was less than norm -fried chicken bites excellent and tender

This was a surprise find! A local recommended it, and the place exceeded all expectations. It is rare to find a place that has both high-level cocktails and high-level food, and this place does. It’s very popular so don’t expect to walk in without a reservation.
