Bar Oso offers high-quality culinary choices with rare and excellent products finely cooked. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, featuring a great design that enhances the experience. Guests appreciate the caring clientele and a very high level of service. The craft cocktails are incredible, with skilled bartenders creating delicious drinks. Highlights include the charred octopus, wild scallop crudo, and gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), with excellent cocktails to complement the food. The ceviche mixto with lobster is also on the menu, though some found the lobster's texture less desirable. Chef Andrés prepares an amazing paella full of authentic Spanish flavors, which guests have found absolutely delicious. The cured meats are spot on, making it a great spot for those who enjoy tapas. While the food options may be limited for non-meat eaters, seafood lovers will find more choices. The restaurant tends to be busy, with mostly bar and high-top seating, creating a lively atmosphere reminiscent of bustling nightlife. This makes it not the best choice for a relaxed, fine-dining experience, but ideal for a night out. Overall, Bar Oso is regarded as a hidden gem in Whistler Village for drinks and a good meal, though it comes with a higher price point.
