Fairmont in Whistler is a dream! Buffet breakfast is the most amazing I’ve ever seen. Rooms and staff are lovely, very helpful in booking and making recommendations for everything. Free car shuttle was excellent. Jack Daley was our Lost Lake tour guide and he was A+. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a black bear and a white bunny on the trail. Views were spectacular! Will be back.

We just got home from nine days at the Fairmont with our son and grandson to celebrate our Golden Wedding. We had the most fantastic time in a Gold suite and cannot thank the staff enough for making sure we had a wonderful break. The staff were all amazing, the food was superb - we dined in three of the restaurants- and the facilities included a pool and gym. Excursions were readily available and we even spotted a bear on our final morning to crown the occasion. Thankyou for helping us mark our 50 years together and who knows we may get back again! I’ve stayed here a few times now and it’s always amazing. The pool is a highlight for my 3yr and my wife, but the best part is the service. All the staff are amazing but special thanks to Lia at the front desk for being incredibly courteous and Lucie Bradshaw for always going out of her way to make us feel special. Unfortunately, my experience at this establishment was affected by concerning issues that may not be immediately apparent to all potential guests. While the hotel may cater well to a specific demographic, it falls short in accommodating individuals who do not fit within their traditional norms.One notable issue is the hotel's strict adherence to a gendered policy, particularly regarding restroom facilities. This policy lacks inclusivity and creates practical challenges for guests with differing needs. For instance, my spouse encountered difficulties when attempting to change our baby in the men's washroom due to inadequate facilities. The staff's response to my attempt to help displayed a dismissive and unwelcoming attitude.The absence of family change rooms and changing tables in the men's washroom shows the hotel's disregard for the needs of families. This lack of accessibility highlights a broader problem with the hotel's overall approach to inclusivity and customer care.Overall, while this establishment may appeal to a certain demographic, its conservative environment and outdated policies make it an unsuitable choice for those seeking a more inclusive and family-friendly experience.Additionally, the rooms were small, and I found a piece of glass on the ground in the lobby right next to where my one-year-old was trying to walk.

We just had dinner in the Grill Room in the Fairmont Chateau Whistler this evening. The service from the Maitre’D and our waiters Maddie and Paul was outstanding. Paul took care of an issue we had with a steak, it was quickly replaced by one that was delicious, and thanks to Paul it was a wonderful evening. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner and great live music at the Mallard Lounge this evening. The musician is a very talented singer and guitarist. Holly was our wonderful waitress who made us feel welcome and special. She was attentive and kind. We will definitely be back again.
