Fantastic food amazing service top-notch they're wonderful people that work there will go back again
Food , service and ambiance was superb! The shuttle from the hotel to the restaurant fantastic and on time.
We had a great mother daughter time out. Food was good. They brought out the soup much earlier than the salads. The drinks were great and included mocktails for the underaged girls. Great ambiance
Fantastic experience at the Chalet at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. We had the Classics dinner, for a party of eight, and really enjoyed it; the servers brought extra bread and vegetables for us to enjoy with the fondue. They were also kind enough to accommodate a last-minute change to the number of our party (from six to eight) which made the birthday celebration absolutely perfect!
⭐️ This is a must visit if in the Whistler area⭐️ We (group of 6) had such a fantastic experience earlier in the week that my husband and I decided to go back on our last night in Whistler. It did not disappoint!! We were escorted to a lovely table by the fireplace. Carly (manager) was friendly and welcoming- greeted us like family. She was hard working and took pride in her job (as we saw her hustling through the dining room assisting the wait staff always with a smile on her face). Mel added to our evening as well and Fraser was his usual spectacular self as our waiter for a second night. The staff is well trained, professional and clearly enjoy their jobs. Cocktails were next level. I had a bourbon sour and my husband had a spectacular Martini. Both made to perfection. French onion soup and pear goat's cheese salad started the meal off perfectly. The beef tenderloin sliced perfectly to cook in the yummy broth and the cheese fondue 🫕 was authentic with a touch of Kirsch (as we know after extensive travel through Switzerland and France) and delicious. The serving sizes are very generous and beautifully presented. The chocolate fondue was off the chart with a lovely selection of fruits and sweets to dip into it. We have booked in for 3 more dinners in 2026 during our next Whistler ski vacation. Don't miss this outstanding experience if you are in the area. You will not be dissapointed.
Amazing!!!! The staff and the food outdid themselves. It was a long travel day and as tired as we were, all of it was amazing!
The best dinner by far in Whistler. Ross and Fraser made our evening beyond memorable. The service and attention to detail was a 10/10 from the moment we walked in the door. Cocktails were spectacular, wine delicious and the set fondue menus unforgettable. Generous servings of authentic Swiss fondue. Beef tenderloin sliced to perfection accompanied by assorted dips, pickles and pickled onions. Entire evening surpassed our expectations. Definitely will be back soon. If you don't have a reservation here, make one.
A lovely dining experience and we especially enjoyed our waitress, Holly. She was very informative and service was excellent. My only recommendation would be that on OpenTable, you let people know that the chalet is not located at the Fairmont hotel. It is about a half mile away at the golf course. That was not clear and since we were walking, we were late for our reservation. More specifics regarding the exact location of this restaurant would be helpful.
I chose The Chalet for the Fondue Experience to celebrate two very special occasions: my 21st wedding anniversary and my mother’s first visit to Canada from Brazil. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations we had for such a meaningful evening.
The first fondue, a cheese fondue, was overly salty and had a watery consistency, with only two types of cheese. It lacked the richness and sophistication one would expect from a proper cheese fondue. The second course, a chicken broth for cooking pieces of meat, turned out to be quite tiresome. The cooking process was so slow that we were already fatigued before we even made it halfway through the available meat.
The biggest disappointment of the evening was the chocolate fondue. What should have been rich, pure chocolate was instead a low-quality chocolate cream, seemingly mixed with starch or other fillers to bulk it up. This compromised both the flavor and texture significantly.
While the ambiance and service were excellent, the quality of the food did not meet the standards expected for such a significant celebration—or for the price charged. Sadly, the experience failed to make our special evening as memorable as we had hoped.

The food and our server, Holly, were fantastic during our evening with The Chalet, especially the schnitzel and French onion soup. However, there were noticeable tensions between some staff members and a lack of organization that led us to have a less enjoyable experience. Despite some wrinkles in team dynamics, I would recommend for some delicious post-ski schnitzel.

Had a great evening at the Chalet with their winter fondue service. Our waitress, Aimee, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was slightly delayed but she kept us informed and anticipated all our needs. Thank you!

I can't believe I hadn't discovered this place until recently. Went for breakfast (sept 2024) and then back for lunch the very next day. The quality of food, serving sizes & service are amazing. Plus eating indoors or outside are both great! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Whistler. Our server BEAU was exceptional....thanks for the great memories!!!

We stayed at the Fairmont and expected our meal to be as beautifully prepared and presented as the photos presented from the hotel. Far from it! Fatty steak that we didn't eat; so fatty we wouldn't serve it to our dog. Salmon so thinly sliced we couldn't use the skewers. It was a joke. Let's not forget the glass of wine for $26.00 that was about 2 ounces. When I requested the standard 3 ounces, our waitress gave my husband and I the dirtiest look. Our two guests didn't eat their food. They clearly didn't like their fatty steak. Our bill was $300.00 plus, we left and went to Brickwork's and had an amazing meal.
This used to be our favorite place to eat each year we visit for our ski week. The food has always been amazing, but this trip was not very good at all. First, when we arrived we told the waitress it was our son’s seventeenth birthday, which our waitress either forgot or did not care. Second, our waitress was nowhere to be seen most of the night except when she had a huge table, she never asked us if we needed or wanted refills (she did check to see if we were enjoying the food). For the amount of money you drop in this nice restaurant, not making sure your table has drinks refreshed is not great service, forgetting a birthday when told ?. Next year we will just eat at the Fairmont where the service has been consistently good while we stayed there this trip and all the other years we visited the Grill and Wildflower. The wine list was awful. I wanted a bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet, which they did not offer but they did offer a Cabernet bottle from a region in CA I did not know well, so I looked the bottle up and balked at the fact the price on the wine menu was 10x the cheapest price I found on the internet. Why waste money on cheap bottle in a region no one knows. It is just SAD!
