This used to be our favorite place to eat each year we visit for our ski week. The food has always been amazing, but this trip was not very good at all. First, when we arrived we told the waitress it was our son’s seventeenth birthday, which our waitress either forgot or did not care. Second, our waitress was nowhere to be seen most of the night except when she had a huge table, she never asked us if we needed or wanted refills (she did check to see if we were enjoying the food). For the amount of money you drop in this nice restaurant, not making sure your table has drinks refreshed is not great service, forgetting a birthday when told ?. Next year we will just eat at the Fairmont where the service has been consistently good while we stayed there this trip and all the other years we visited the Grill and Wildflower. The wine list was awful. I wanted a bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet, which they did not offer but they did offer a Cabernet bottle from a region in CA I did not know well, so I looked the bottle up and balked at the fact the price on the wine menu was 10x the cheapest price I found on the internet. Why waste money on cheap bottle in a region no one knows. It is just SAD!

Cheese fondue nice but chinoise broth was overpowering with allspice and nutmeg- not a great (or traditional) combo and massively overpowered the meat. Chocolate fondue very good as was spatzle.

The onion soup, cheese and chocolate fondue are delicious!!! Maybe the best We've ever tried. We ordered the classic menu. It supposed to be for two adults but it is for at least three and the beef fondue was lacked of flavor. Great service!

The atmosphere is spectacular, the service is flawless. Our server Millie was magnificent. The French onion, soup, cheese fondue and chocolate fondue were magnificent. My only criticism is that the fondue chinois had a heavy flavoring of five spice, which is something that I personally dislike intensely. I would advise clients to try the vegetable broth if they wanted to do this fondue as it apparently does not have five spice. This is the only thing which led me to take one star away from the restaurant. By the way we were informed of the presence of this ingredient But my companion had never tasted Five spice and so I felt compelled to expose him to it. When I return to Whistler next, I will definitely return to this restaurant, but limit myself to the French onion, soup, cheese, fondue, and chocolate fondue. We also had a magnificent Pinot Noir wine paired with our dinner.

Took 30 minutes after dinner was cleared out for dessert to come out. Super slow. Food was just OK. Ambiance was nice cozy though. Admittedly this week is a busy week for resorts. But still, too slow.

Excellent service. The staff at The Chalet never fail to deliver on friendly and efficient service. Loved the personal touch that Gillian recognised us from previous visits. Our server Jack was friendly, polite, made us feel very well taken care of and did not seem like he was just "going through the motions" but rather that he was taking pride and enjoyment in his job. Only other comment was that I was slightly cold (my son got the fireside seat!) Food excellent as always. We'll back again next time! By the way, what happened to the pretty lights that were there last year?

Loved the atmosphere. cheese fondue was great, beef was just ok. Dessert fondue was amazing. Short staffed—We were there for almost 3 hours waiting for every course. Pretty pricey, but a fun venue/experience.

We were there for over 3 hours with kids. Almost finished our fondue before we were given an explanation of the food. We had to ask if we could order vegetables because all we had was bread and meat. Had no water multiple times. Poor service and ok food.

We opted for ‘the experience' which included a cheese, a broth and a chocolate fondue for dessert. The food was really great! Ordered a side schnitzel and seafood which was also fabulous!

We had the fondue experience for 2 people and it was phenomenal! The winter salad and the French onion soup were excellent. I thought that for the price, the portions of fondue would be smaller but they were not. We had a full-sized cheese fondue and beef fondue and were completely stuffed. The cheese fondue was fantastic and my favourite part. I thought the beef fondue could have been more flavourful. We finished with the chocolate fondue and had to take most of it home to enjoy as we were too stuffed by the end of the dinner. The ambience was very warm, cozy, and elevated. Service was excellent throughout the evening. It was busy without feeling too crowded or noisy. I would definitely go back for a special occasion!

Some of the best dining we did our entire trip. Bonnie took excellent care of us and the fondue experience was superb. Great atmosphere as well.

The culinary experience at The Chalet and Clubhouse is truly exceptional. The delightful combination of the exquisite cheese fondue and the delectable schnitzel is nothing short of fantastic. The cheese fondue, crafted with carefully selected cheeses, offers a lush and creamy texture that will captivate any food enthusiast. As for the schnitzel, the perfect balance between crispy exterior and juiciness inside makes it a culinary masterpiece. The kitchen here clearly knows how to perfect the authentic flavor of schnitzel, making every bite a delight. Whether you're a gastronomy aficionado or simply seeking an unforgettable taste adventure, The Chalet and Clubhouse's cheese fondue and schnitzel form an irresistible duo that enchants the senses. A true treat for the taste buds in an environment as refined as the menu itself.

This is our third visit to the chalet at the fairmont. Love the experience, this time the service was not quite the same. To be fair this is a beautiful spot and we love having the fondue. We just didn't expect to only have bread and beef when usually there is an option to have a mixture of meat and fish. The option for the later was maybe glossed over by our server. When we questioned this she seemed annoyed. It's a lot of money to spend on a meal. It was a shame that it was not explained properly.

We love the food and the ambience at the chalet. Unfortunately, our service was a little bit less professional than we have typically experienced. We were left for long intervals without anyone coming to our table to check to see if we wanted water or anything else.
