Fantastic experience at the Chalet at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. We had the Classics dinner, for a party of eight, and really enjoyed it; the servers brought extra bread and vegetables for us to enjoy with the fondue. They were also kind enough to accommodate a last-minute change to the number of our party (from six to eight) which made the birthday celebration absolutely perfect!

⭐️ This is a must visit if in the Whistler area⭐️ We (group of 6) had such a fantastic experience earlier in the week that my husband and I decided to go back on our last night in Whistler. It did not disappoint!! We were escorted to a lovely table by the fireplace. Carly (manager) was friendly and welcoming- greeted us like family. She was hard working and took pride in her job (as we saw her hustling through the dining room assisting the wait staff always with a smile on her face). Mel added to our evening as well and Fraser was his usual spectacular self as our waiter for a second night. The staff is well trained, professional and clearly enjoy their jobs. Cocktails were next level. I had a bourbon sour and my husband had a spectacular Martini. Both made to perfection. French onion soup and pear goat's cheese salad started the meal off perfectly. The beef tenderloin sliced perfectly to cook in the yummy broth and the cheese fondue 🫕 was authentic with a touch of Kirsch (as we know after extensive travel through Switzerland and France) and delicious. The serving sizes are very generous and beautifully presented. The chocolate fondue was off the chart with a lovely selection of fruits and sweets to dip into it. We have booked in for 3 more dinners in 2026 during our next Whistler ski vacation. Don't miss this outstanding experience if you are in the area. You will not be dissapointed.

A lovely dining experience and we especially enjoyed our waitress, Holly. She was very informative and service was excellent. My only recommendation would be that on OpenTable, you let people know that the chalet is not located at the Fairmont hotel. It is about a half mile away at the golf course. That was not clear and since we were walking, we were late for our reservation. More specifics regarding the exact location of this restaurant would be helpful.

My 2 friends and I had a fabulous dinner at The Chalet! We shared the pear and goat cheese salad and the excellent onion soup. We moved on to the surf and turf Chinoise, which had excellent beef, shrimp, and Steelhead! The various dipping sauces were great. Best of all was the outstanding chocolate fondue. Not a drop of chocolate went to waste. Some Calvados after dinner complimented our dinner. Our waiter, Frazier, was amazingly personable and helpful. The room was beautiful, and our view of the outdoor fireplace set the perfect mood for dinner. The Chalet offered the best dining experience during our stay in Whistler. It should not be missed!

Exquisite dining experience. Highly recommend getting all three fondues. Cheese, meat, and chocolate. Order a good bottle of wine or two. Sit back and enjoy. The service was beyond compare.

Our experience at The Chalet was exceptional from the moment that we were driven to the restaurant and all through the evening. The ambience was perfect and we loved all of the little white lights, especially in the snow!! Melanie, our server, was delightful and attentive! The entire service crew were kind, professional, and worked together like a fine oiled machine. The French Onion Soup was probably the best one I've ever had!! My friend, who has celiac, was even able to have it, prepared with gluten-free bread. She was in heaven!! I had the pork knuckle dish with Rot Kraut and herb Spätzle. It was beyond fabulous!! I'm German and Austrian and was excited to find this restaurant serving authentic German/Austrian dishes. We finished off our meal with the chocolate fondue, which was the perfect ending to our dining experience! I highly recommend The Chalet!! For a casual, fine dining experience! I'm looking forward to returning for some cheese fondue!!

After coming to this lovely place every winter for several years now, it might be time to call it quits. Dined here with my family last night - It took them 20 mins to get us seated despite us having a reservation. Furthermore , despite having my allergy and sensitivity info on file and also me confirming it upon entry, they prepared the meal without any dietary adjustments. Although they did comp. a round of drinks for us, I feel that their attention to detail, and the quality of service has definitely changed and is not the same anymore. Maybe it was a combination of the young staff, or just being very busy at the time - it didn't feel special anymore. Time for us to look for different holiday dining venues in Whistler.

Experiencing The Chalet was unbelievable, enjoyed every part of the evening dining there. The night was only elevated by the server we had Frazer who made great recommendations for food and wine and his service was on point. Will definitely be back to eat here again, would recommend.
