Overall a pleasant experience with great food and service. I found it a bit odd that they charge separately between $1-$3 for the kind of pasta preferred with no default option.Nonetheless, decent sized portions and a nice ambience.

It was a very pleasant evening at La Baia. We started with warm olives with their delicious fresh bread and great escargot. We had vongole linguini in white wine, and it was as delicious as I have been hoping vongole pasta to be. Paired with prosecco, and it was perfect! :) Best of all, our server, Tracy is really the best. She guided our ordering process and made us feel confident with our orders. Made us feel at home. She was very friendly, but not intrusive. We were fortunate to have been introduced to the owner, Andy. A very nice and accommodating guy. :) We are celebrating my husband's birthday with a few close friends in a few days, and we have decided to have it in La Baia. It is truly a hidden gem in White Rock.

Excellent food and service with reasonable prices. We just happened to drop in without a reservation and we’re pleasantly surprised. Our server was a gem and made us feel special, and his recommendations informed our choices. The House salad is scrumptious!Vegetarian options: The gnocchi was divine, as reported by our genuine Italian guest.

We had a wonderful evening and dinner with friends. Our waiter was super helpful with our menu choices. The atmosphere was nice and “romantic” with a piano playing, which is why I didn't say great energy because I wouldn't call it energetic. But it is wonderful.

Service: 5 starsThe staff is very polite and provides the appropriate amount of attentiveness. It was the best service that I have experienced in a very long time. In particular, David, Kathy and Sarah were both exceptional.Food: 5 starsThe food was the closest I have had to an authentic Italian meal in Surrey/White Rock. I have been to Italy many times and the chef (Luigi) did a phenomenal job. Some people have commented on the ambience. I found it to be quite charming. It is far from modern, but very clean. It has the appearance of a family-owned restaurant in an Italian village. I enjoyed it.

A strange man was wandering around yacking about food, friends, and life. I thought he was the owner. He had garlic breath and kept eyeballing my wine goblet. Needless to say I bid a hasty retreat. I will go back again. Cheers.

Came for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful time. There was a live pianist which really set the mood for a romantic night. The table was set up beautifully with a rose and everything. Our server was amazing, he was very attentive and had amazing suggestions. We started with the meatballs which exceeded our expectations, the salsiccia marinara and the carbonara were divine! They even comp'd us a slice of key line pie for dessert. 10/10 will be back for more very soon!

Unfortunately, had high hopes for this restaurant. But we arrived at 8pm for our reservation and waited at least an hour before getting seated with 5 other couples waiting to be seated. The service was questionable and the food was poor quality. I won't be coming back here.

The food was fabulous and the best octopus appie I've ever had. It was a fixed price menu with a 2 hour seating limit. We were at the mercy of the kitchen delivering food in a timely manner; however our main course was slow coming out putting us a little behind. We were just finishing up when a lady came up to our table and politely asked us to pay up and basically vacate the table because they had a lineup waiting. After spending close to $300 for Valentine's Day dinner we were taken aback by her comments as she made us to feel we were the problem. La Baia accepted no responsibility and I took offence. If they want to do this next year there are definitely some glitches they need to work out. I would go back but never again on Valentine's Day.

We live this restaurant and we live David! Four of us had lasagna, chicken Marsala and the lamb shank. We each loved our choice! It was busy - but not too busy! When we first arrived, someone was practicing piano, but when she left there was the enjoyable murmur of conversation. David (our waiter) is so charming and on top of everything! We love it

What a fantastic menu and location. Everyone in our party had a tough time picking their entre as we loved so many of the offerings. Lobster ravioli, bolognese, lasagna and vognole were what we settled on with fried calamari, carpaccio, and bruchetta for appetizers. The bread and oil/vinegar were delicious, too. I asked my server to choose a pinot grigio for me to have with my dinner and was thrilled with the one he picked. Folonari will now be stocked in my wine fridge at home. The icing on the cake last night was the free parking!! Every other restaurant on the White Rock strip was packed with no nearby parking. Not LA Baia! I've no idea why this gem wasn't busier. With food this good at really reasonable prices it should be far busier than it is. We will definitely be back.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor business with ground floor seating. Bathroom could be an issue as it is up a set of 2 stairs.
