the food was scrumptious! try the fried pickles, best i have ever had! i even had a glass of wine , sat out in courtyard and had my fish and chips, awesome food and great service and lovely to sit outside and enjoy fresh sea air and flowers in courtyard . will be back!

My family’s go here very time we’re in white rock. The fish and chips is amazing, and cooked perfectly. The owner and staff is also very accommodating and offered to just fry my gmas fish since deep fried hurts her stomach. There are tables inside and outside to eat, the food is delicious not greasy and cooked quickly! Everyone who has served us has been amazingly nice and welcoming. 10/10.

Fresh succulent fish wrapped in the thinnest, crispiest batter I’ve had on fish and chips! Most of the patrons are repeat customers who have been visiting for years. Overheard one saying they have been patronising the place since the 1950s!Sadly there was no clam chowder when I visited. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time.If you are in White Rock and want fish and chips don’t miss out on Montgomery’s.

My wife was born and raised in White Rock so whenever we come to town she demands to come to the cottage lunch for halibut and chips.This year we did a 2 week tour of the Pacific North West and each time we stopped and she had seafood she would always say "it's no cottage lunch"We arrived on a Wednesday and before we left on Monday she had us go for the halibut 3 times. So if you like good fish and chips come to the cottage lunch.

Absolutely fantastic. We went there today, Sunday of the BC day long weekend. I picked up a 2 piece halibut and chips. The fillets were beautiful. Just the right amount of batter. Fries were crispy. A 10 star experience right by the beach. You guys rock and have definitely earned our repeat business

Still the best fish and chips on the West coast. Our go to is always the lightly battered cod and the delicious hand cut fries. Sean and his staff are always very friendly and welcoming, it's like going to an old friend's for a meal. I've been coming here for 68 years and my wife for 50 and we'll be coming back as long as we can.

We usually eat across the tracks but the restaurant is quaint...it's a cozy little White Rock place we love to go.Parking: Depending of course on the day, sunny weekends are busy in White Rock but you just circle around til you spot one

Usually bought fish and chips further down but something pulled us to Montgomery's. Must have been divine intervention because our tastebuds were doing the Macarena. My daughter and I ordered the Halibut and Chips with tartar sauce. I can honestly say these were the best fish and chips we ever had as take out. I usually pull the greasy batter off but their batter is perfection. Fries were perfectly done and the tartar sauce delicious. Service was outstanding. It was so awesome we went back the next day and paid for parking again just to grab round two. Equally as delicious as the previous day. Highly recommended.
