Nri African Flavours catered for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration, and they truly exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about it, with many going back for seconds. The presentation was beautiful, the service was warm and professional, and the entire experience added a special touch to such an important milestone. We couldn’t have asked for better catering

This is my go-to vendor for Nigerian food in Vancouver. Their meals always taste so fresh and authentically Nigerian.

I ordered ewedu and Gbegiri with Amala, meat pie and asun rice. I must say that the food was soooo good I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. The ewedu and Amala was next level. Thanks guys. I will be back for sure. 💯. I’ve heard the buka stew is really nice so that might be my next order. Watch out haha.

Reply to restaurant’s comment: What are you on about?! This is my only account! Three people are not ‘claiming’ this order, however, three people SHARED this food and absolutely no one liked it - I can only speak to what I ate/tasted! Of course, with your response, I can see why so many people hate this place. Your plantains tasted so bad that it was indeed like paper (never tasted plantains so bad)! And wow! What a poor way to respond to a customer concern - your customer service is as bad as your food! If you’re so concerned about your small business, at least make sure you send all the items and not charge full price while sending only half the order (and, no, the shawarma was NOT missing - maybe check your notes again; now it’s ‘obvious’ how you messed up the order)! Anyway, what do I care, I’m not ordering here again!

The food took so long to arrive and when it did it was just horrible. I’ve had good food at African restaurants before and at friends’ home, but this by far was the worst! It was way too smokey, the food was not flavourful, the side of chicken tasted bland, the plantain tasted like paper, and some items were missing! Never ordering here again. What a disappointment!

MISSING/WRONG ITEMS/CHEMICAL TASTING RICE… I was very optimistic when I ordered from here but was terribly disappointed! I ordered the chicken thigh, jollof rice, coleslaw and puff puff combo but what I got was an inedible turkey drumstick and no puff puff! The rice was absolutely disgusting. Someone had dumped a ton of liquid smoke into the rice to make it taste artificially smokey and it was too much. I have eaten Nigerian food many times and can make tasty jollof rice myself. I know what it’s supposed to taste like. I’m shocked they would try to replicate the “smokey” taste of jollof rice by using artificial liquid smoke (and completely overdo it to the point that the rice was inedible and tasted like chemicals). I also ordered the chicken shawarma combo that was supposed to come with fries and ginger ale, but both items were missing. I will never, ever order from here again! If you want to order from here, it’s AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Responding to the owner: I’m an experienced cook - I know the taste of liquid smoke. It has a distinct taste that is completely different from the smokey taste that comes from the traditional method of cooking smokey jollof rice. When too much is added, it gives a bitter, chemical taste. You’re not fooling anyone. It’s such a shame that you’d choose to take shortcuts instead of putting some effort into your food. Had I known you use artificial flavouring with cancer-causing carcinogens, I would have never ordered from you!

Also, you need to go back and read what I said was missing. I’m not surprised that you got the order wrong, considering you didn’t even read THIS comment properly. It’s also very convenient to blame the delivery driver for your mistake. What’s more plausible -that the driver stole some select items or you got the order wrong?

I ordered for myself and two others. My friends are just as entitled to write a review about their experience as I am. Maybe you should put more effort into improving the quality of your food rather than arguing with customers.

I ordered the grilled fish and plantain with coleslaw. This would be my second time ordering. And both times it has taken close to 2 hrs before I can get my food. The delivery driver also complained that he had to wait a whole hour. Also I didn’t get coleslaw but steamed veggies which I didn’t mind. That’s my only down side. The fish was big and really tasty.. plantain was okay as well. They just need to improve on preparation time and wait time. 2hrs is enough time to lose appetite. Thank you

I ordered off Uber eats, It's a small kitchen, so wait times are a little higher than most restaurants but the food is well worth the wait! I ordered the Jollof veggie bowl, fried tofu stir-fry and beef patties which were all excellent.

We couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience for our wedding! From start to finish, Nri African Flavour exceeded every expectation. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned, and served hot and fresh. Our guests are still raving about the dishes!

The team was professional, courteous, and attentive. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly. Their attention to detail, from the setup to the cleanup, was impeccable.

A special thank you to Ada and Ugo for going above and beyond to accommodate our preferences and dietary needs. You helped make our big day stress-free and memorable, and for that, we are so grateful.

Ordered from Uber eats. Don't waste your money. Very pour quality. African yam fries were day old and re-fried/re-warmed. They're cutting corners and charging really high. I suggest they reduce the menu offering and focus on quality not quantity. Please please don't waste your money.

Ada did the catering for our wedding in May 2024 and the food was amazing! Several of our guests gave us feedback on how great the food was. We have also ordered several food platters from Ada and the quality has been consistently fantastic. Thank you!

The food here actually used to be really good when they first opened up but the quality has declined so fast, it’s a real shame I won’t be ordering from here again. They went from freshly cooked dishes to serving up day old food, the quantity has shrunk so much it’s no longer worth the exorbitant prices. I got what was supposed to be puff puff but was a safety hazard to eat. Hard rocky substance in the middle that almost chipped my tooth on the first bite. Avoid at all costs.

The best Nigerian food in Canada. I'm so glad to find this place. I highly recommend this business 100%. Even my white friends love the food and now, they're addicted to it. Thank you for your amazing service and good food. We appreciate you and you will always be our first choice of African food. Thank you.
