“Went for fish and chips this week, it was sooo good! The batter was delicious, crisp and not too heavy. The chips were actual cut potato’s that were crispy and hot. The tartar was homemade and a perfect complement. Dinner was also served with fresh cut coleslaw salad. Everyone at our table was so pleased with the quality of food, drinks, and incredible service! We also had the Youbou Salad at our table too, it was also beautifully and I was told it was delicious! Thank you Youbou Pub! We’ll be back again soon. Your place is really a gem and so worth thd drive! Thank you !!!”

“It was alright. Basic diner food, priced a little high, but what isn't these days. Decent amount of food for the price though. Their menu is quite large and pretty diverse. I can't speak to all of it, but I pitty the cooks. The old saying "Jack of all trades, master of none." may very well apply. If they're going to give you water they should at least have it chilled or with ice. Cuz who wants room temp tap water on a hot day or any day for that matter?

There's not too many options in the area so I would eat there again, but if the service was the same I wouldn't be back a third time.”

“My partner and I are very appreciative of good coffee and good coffee is hard to come by. We have one place in Duncan that we like, and now we have a place in Lake Cowichan, at Ed's. Their coffee is so good. We had an excellent chat with who I assume was the owner. He was so passionate about coffee and you can tell he is in the business because of his genuine love for a good brew. I'm so happy this place is close to home as I am in Youbou. The beans they use, Black Cat I think he said, are some of the best . Highly recommended.”

“Well went to subway in lake Cowichan today wow was so disappointed with there dippers 2 thin slices of peperoni in a hole wrap no cheese really. The salad was a complete mess and tones of wrong stuff added. Same with both subs my daughter had the meat ball sub with nothing on it came with that huge chunk of cheese and bunch of other stuff and same with the other sub.”
