90+ New Raising Cane's Stores Coming in 2024
The popular chicken finger chain Raising Cane's is going big in 2024. Really big. The Baton Rouge-based fast food company plans to open 90+ new restaurant locations across the United States by year's end.

This aggressive expansion will skyrocket Raising Cane's presence to nearly 900 stores nationwide. Over 40 of those new openings are going to happen within just the next six months alone. High-profile upcoming debuts include a new Tennessee flagship on Broadway in Nashville this summer, adding to Cane's other flagship spots in Chicago, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, and the monumental Times Square global flagship that opened in NYC last June.
"As we continue to grow, we're entering new markets and bringing new opportunities for crew members and managers to start a career with Raising Cane's," said co-CEO AJ Kumaran. "We need crew who can help us open these new restaurants and make an impact in our communities."
The chicken finger brand entered 15 new U.S. markets in 2023 and continues its expansion into New York City this year. Cane's plans to double its NYC store count by December and expects a mind-boggling $18 million in annual sales from the Times Square location, which will serve over 1 million customers.
Florida is another major focus with 20 new locations opening there over the next two years, including recent openings in Orlando, Gainesville, and Miami Beach. Out west, Raising Cane's will open around 20 stores in California in 2024, pushing that state's total past 100 locations.

These ambitious plans are backed by incredible momentum. Raising Cane's has achieved 61 straight quarters of positive same-store sales growth, including a 15.4% jump in Q1 2024. The chain hauled in a record $3.7 billion in net sales last year.
From single chicken finger joint founded near LSU in 1996, Raising Cane's is now taking the fast food world by storm. The brand's near-term vision encompasses 850 stores, $4.5 billion in sales, and 420 million customers served annually. Longer-term, Cane's aspires to over 1,600 U.S. locations with $10 billion in sales and average unit volumes of $8 million.
