Italian Pizza Chain Rosso Pomodoro Makes Its American Debut in Denver
Naples-born Rosso Pomodoro has landed in Denver. The Italian pizza franchise just opened its first U.S. location in the city's Central Park neighborhood at 29th Ave Town Center.
Since its 1998 founding, Rosso Pomodoro has expanded globally. It now boasts 70 restaurants in Italy and 140 worldwide, including partnerships with Eataly across North America.

"It has long been a dream to introduce our brand of authentic Neapolitan-style pizza to every corner of America,” CEO Nicola Saraceno shared his excitement. “Neapolitan pizza is an art form in itself, and we take pride in preserving this centuries-old legacy and heritage. Each of our pizzas exemplify artisanal craftsmanship, using top-quality ingredients sourced through partnerships with historical high-standard suppliers.”
Why Denver? Saraceno explained to Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, "Denver is a vibrant, growing community with a sophisticated food scene. Its people are curious about food and love pizza in particular – as confirmed by the recent claim as 'America's Best City for Pizza.'"
The restaurant takes its pizza seriously, so local Denver staff didn't just get a quick crash course - they went through an intensive training program, guided by professional fifth-generation Italian pizzaiolos. Moreover, only the freshest ingredients are used to meet the strict standards of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana certification.

Saraceno revealed the customers' favorite: "Our most iconic product all over the world is the Margherita pizza. We offer it in different versions, either with a traditional or a thin crust called 'Ruota di Carro'." Apart from pizza, Rosso Pomodoro is greatly praised for its on-site baked bread bruschetta boards.
A second Denver location is coming soon to Greenwood Village. Saraceno said they aim to give the people of Denver the opportunity to discover and appreciate how an authentic Neapolitan pizza from Naples tastes like.
