“Fresno isn't known for its sushi or seafood, but Umi Sushi really delivers some great tasting food.

We came for dinner on a Monday and got seated immediately, got drinks quickly, and when we got our food, it was fantastic. I got a Dragon Roll, a Rainbow Roll, and a couple of nigiri and the rolls were great and quite large (don't order too many) and the Chirashi Bowl had a lot of really tasty sashimi in it.

If you're in the mood for sushi, definitely consider Umi Sushi!“

“O-iza is a treat from beginning to end, with a gorgeous ambiance, fabulous food with beautiful presentation, and caring service. All the details are thoughtful, from the rose water hand towels to the chopstick holders to the candles and light fixtures... You feel special just being in this beautiful space and being presented with such lovely plated dishes!
Our server, Alice, was fantastic! She guided us through the menu and made several suggestions, which were fabulous. We ended up ordering the waygu gyoza appetizer, which has such a nice texture and savory flavor. We also got the sea bass entree, which is served over a bed of risotto and oh man! This was so fantastic! Comfort food and cooked to perfection! We also got the salmon spoons from the sushi menu, also the servers recommendation, and these were a party in your mouth! Bright and fresh! Also, complimentary edemame is provided with your meal and it is the best! There's sugar and a little spice on it so its just so addinctingly yummy! Finally, we had to try the chocolate sesame desert, which had a great combination of flavors and textures!
Overall, we had the best experience and loved the service, food, and ambiance of O-IZA and can't wait to come back to try more!“

My husband and I have been coming to BluFin for the past six years, and in that time we’ve gotten to know the owner and his family, some of the nicest people you could ever meet. It’s a true family run restaurant, and they make you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in.

The food is always incredible. They have a full vegan menu for those who want it, but their regular menu is just as outstanding, with fresh and flavorful Japanese dishes that keep us coming back. I bring friends and family here whenever we are craving Japanese food, and it never disappoints.

“Great food, large portions and reasonably priced food for amount served. Tasty, Tasty food. Served quickly and customer service is Amazing. Definitely a must eat place for Tempura and Teriyaki Chicken Dinner“

“I ordered the Bul-Go-Gi and Pork Katsu Lunch Combo. The meal also comes with rice, Miso Soup, a salad with what I think is a Ginger Sauce Dressing. The meal was tasty with the Bul-Go-Gi mixed with vegetables, Mushrooms, zucchini, carrots , broccoli, onions, and green onions. The Pork Katsu was good as well.
Service was good with the servers stopping by several times to check on my meal and for soda refills.

“The cook John was great. He was engaging and funny instead of going through the motions like some cooks do. Food was great too. Not a complaint just a suggestion, the waitress could have been a little more personable and enthusiastic. She wasn't bad but not great, very quiet and didn't say your welcome when thanking her. Other that good visit and will request John.“

“I got the rockstar roll and I have to say it’s one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had it was super fresh and tasted amazing. My husband had the katsu chicken plate and he says that was also amazing the rice was cooked really well and the chicken was cooked almost perfectly and the veggies that come with it were very savory. He also ordered a cocktail and said it was really really good. The service was amazing they weren’t over bearing and they were very sweet respectful and timely. The atmosphere seemed a little out dated but overall was very clean and modest. Will comeback again soon!“

The food was very good & portions were generous. Service fell just short of great as we never really knew who our server was. There were also no prices ever listed on a menu for nigiri.“

“The lady that helps you when you walk in is super sweet and always cheerful. The food is delicious i do not eat sea food the veggie roll is delicious the pupusas are also amazing.

“I stopped here for a late dinner on a business trip from LA. I was very pleasantly surprised, the food quality was great, the fish was fresh. The prices are very fair considering this economy. The sushi chef was very kind, helpful, and gave me some great tips for the Fresno area and Sequoia. The owners were there also, so very kind and accommodating. The waitress also was beyond attentive and helpful. Thanks for being the highlight of my work trip.“
