“Amazing food! Everything tasted so FRESH!!! Best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time!! The owner makes everything fresh, service was FANTASTIC, waitress/cashier we had was so friendly, and just the right amount of attentive. The owner came out to ask how we liked the food- he was VERY personable, humble, and makes things with heart! Many of the recipes are family recipes! Our favorite new place! ( don’t be fooled by the location, this place is a true gem!)“

“I ordered the chili relleno plate. They have a limited supply of chili rellenos so you have to call ahead to make sure you can order them. They are fresh and stuffed with fresh quest fresco cheese. Cooked in a flavorful red sauce. The rice and beans are probably some of the best iv had at any mexican food restaurant. Iv only ate here one time but I think that is going to change. I will for sure order the chili rellenos again. I forgotnto mention they make fresh homemade corn torillas too. Also sorry the pic i am adding is a pic after I took a few bites lol.“

“Really love the food. The take out service is good. The 3 stars on the atmosphere is because it is so loud in this restaurant. It may seem like a petty critique, but when you can't hear yourself at your own table. It's a problem. It's been loud for years.
The tortilla soup with chicken is Awesome and I highly recommend when you're feeling ill.

“Fast and delicious! This place is right of the freeway and easy to get to. Seating is outdoor and they have a very nice patio set up. Card is accepted. I loved my asada fries, the fry to meat ratio was perfect. My lunch mates said their tacos were five star. Overall this is a great and inexpensive place to stop.“

“The best tacos in Visalia!!
This place has become our annual stop after camping in the Sierras. Juan and his wife’s hospitality made our party of 11 feel very welcome. We all ordered different items from the menu and the favorite was the queso tacos filled with asada, el pastor, pollo and cabeza. Some even went back for seconds. The agua frescas were cold and so refreshing (cucumber lime and jamaica). Everything was just as delicious as it was a year ago!
They also sell organic honey (regular, orange and sage) and I was so happy they still had some available for purchase.

From homemade tortillas to a topping bar that allow you to choose what make your taco special is all I needed. I added some salsa while beans and toppings as I saw fit. “The other day, I had this woman walk up to me, as I was eating my taco lunch at work. She said, “I see you like tacos! You should let me make you some, I make them with homemade tortillas! I told myself when I was younger, that I would have a restaurant one day and I would make my tacos with handmade tortillas only, and now I do! You should come see me.” It just so happened that my sister and I had been messaging about giving my husband the heart shaped platter of tacos. I immediately text her and said, “I found my lady! Her name is Lupe!” I told her what Lupe had told me and how I just knew I had to have her do this for him! Fast forward to today- Valentine’s Day! I forgot to call yesterday and I called kind of late this morning! 9:54am to be exact! I knew as soon as the person on the other line answered, that it was her! I told her I knew this was probably way too late to order but if there was any way she could, would she still be able to? I didn’t want to stress her or her crew out. She didn’t even hesitate! She said, “Tell me your idea and I’ll do my best to make it happen!” She said she’d Never had this kind of request but was up for the challenge. To be honest, I thought this was going to be a basic rectangular sheet pan with the tacos presented in a heart shape! I was okay with that! To my surprise, I walked in and was caught by complete surprise! Not only did they find a heart shaped box, in this town with Zero Valentines supply, so it seemed, they had even included the roses. ☺️ She included 8 Chicken, 8 Asada, 8 Al Pastor tacos, all the fixings, including some delicious red and green salsa. My husband and kiddo enjoyed the spicey red, while my mom and I enjoyed the flavorful green with a hint of spice. Fresh chips and guacamole, just made it complete! 🤤 Thank you, Lupe, for taking this on so last minute! Thank you, for going the extra mile to make it special and complete! We absolutely enjoyed it as we celebrated my husband today! We will see you soon! ♥️“

“Delicious! This really hit the spot. I had an awesome enchilada with creamy refried beans and rice. It came with a little cheese-topped green salad. I love that they let me pick my meat from a list that included lengua. I'd never that in enchiladas before, but I decided to try it, and it was tender and delicious!

Grullenses Tacos in Visalia is straight bussin'. Rolled in on Taco Tuesday and couldn’t believe they’re still doing $1.50 tacos — that’s a win in 2025.

I ordered a few, thinking I’d be generous and keep it light since my wife said she didn’t want any. Then she took a bite of mine and… well, let’s just say I had a half order left for myself.

Every bite was fire — fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. I also grabbed a burrito, which was equally solid. Big flavor, generous portion, and didn’t break the bank.

The ladies behind the counter were great — polite, respectful, and tossing out smiles and good vibes while working the grill like pros.

No complaints here. Grullenses is a Visalia taco go-to, especially on Tuesdays.“
