“As a Colombian-American that grew up in Miami, I did not think I was going to find good Colombian food in the Bay. Macondo has emphatically shown me I was wrong. Beyond the amazing soups, baked goods, Colombian soda, and arepas, this place has a warmth other spots wish you could bottle. I hope you do yourself a favor and try it for yourself.“

“Not a huge fan of the seating layout. I sat on the left side to avoid the loud chatter of people but that meant being on a hard bench with uninteresting decor. Empanadas were wonderful, the ceviche with coconut milk was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to try the arepa but it seemed like the portion was tiny. The chicharron was very flavorful!“
