Solid fast casual option for Alameda. Was really hoping for an experience more like “Souvla” in the city but it did not meet that bar. Had the chicken schwarma and it was only favorite, it had a weird texture and consistency more similar to a tuna fish sandwich. The sauces were good and healthy options. Also had sweet potato fries which were just OK and not hot.Came in just before 7:10pm (closes at 7:30pm) which seems like it closes on the early side. Staff were friendly and helpful but definitely got the vibe they wanted us out and they said we couldn’t stay and eat (we planned to do take out regardless).

What an incredibly good restaurant. Their bowls are fairly priced and their quality and freshness of foods and vegetables are something else. I eat here at least once a week and am very happy with their service.

I was very happy to find this Mediterranean place in Alameda. You order either a pita, wrap, or bowl, and then you customize it however you want. You can choose a protein then add the extras you want. Some of the extras cost extra, but there are also plenty of free extras as well. Some of the free extras (like beets) are pretty skimpy though. One thing I learned is there are different types of couscous. I've always been accustomed to the Israeli couscous, which are tiny pearl-like pastas. But here, they have Moroccan couscous, which is more like a grain. This tasted great in the salad. What we had..+ Chicken shawarma wrap - Very well put together and very tasty. However, it was a bit smaller than wraps from Kebab Shop or Halal Guys.+ Chicken shawarma bowl - I added a lot of extras, and somehow it all tasted great together. The hummus was quite a bit thicker than I'm used to. The texture wasn't conducive to mixing with your salad or for dipping your pita in, but still very tasty.Overall, this was a happy find.

Had delivery. It was okay overall and I would order again. The positives are that the sauces are fresh and spiced really well. The rest of the food is just fine but the sauce is really set it all apart. The steak in the bowl was gray. The greens were nice and fresh. The zesty feta was great! The tzatziki cool and tangy. The GARLIC JALAPENO SAUCE, ROASTED RED PEPPER TAHINI, and GRANDMA'S HOT SAUCE address Fantastic! The Hot sauce is packed with flavor not just heat, perfectly balanced

This restaurant is newer and very clean. The food is outstanding and they make huge portions of super deliciousness! The staff is professional & friendly! We came to LA and SF last month for 12 days from Vancouver, Canada ?? and specifically drove to Alameda to hit up Hummus Republic!! First time we tried was in El Segundo but surprisingly that location closed down. This place rocks and the food is super fresh, must try!Parking: We parked behind the building & I ran in myself and I think street parking might be paid in this area.

Probably one of the best and new favorite restaurants to eat in Alameda. Price is affordable and lots of variety. Most importantly, it's delicious!

I stumbled in delirious and in need of nutrients. At first I thought they just had hummus but learned they have so much more. I ordered a wrap and was too tired to make decisions so told them to just put every ingredient inside. While i watched homie pile on the veggies, sauces and legumes, I realized I might've flown too close to the sun--how was he gonna wrap all that up?! Surprisingly, homeboy was able to wrap it up and it held together. Consider me impressed. This will become a regular weekday takeout from now on as it's healthy, tastes good, and because they've earned my respect for rolling up my girthy spinach wrap.

Except for the pita bread, food is high quality. Alameda location so service is rough because the majority of available labor are stoned teens from Alameda high.Only other issue I have is the togo bag with all the staples. This is uncomfortable to unpack and unnecessary.Reccomend ordering ahead!

This is our third time visiting this Hummus Republic in Alameda. Staff is super friendly and helpful with the ordering process. I had the pita with Moroccan steak, spinach, tzatziki and traditional hummus, topped with diced cucumber, olives and feta. A splash of olive oil and lemon on top and my pita order was so delicious and packed with flavor. I highly recommend!
