What a cozy little restaurant. We were walking down to the main drag, looking to discover a new restaurant saw Troy smell the steaks grilling looked at the menu decided to pop in and have dinner and wow sure glad we did. Their spanakopita was amazing, Greek salad was great and we had their meatball special which hit the spot. The food was tasty the portions were very large The server was amazing what a nice young man he was The overall experience was perfect. Definitely going back, highly recommend.

Food was ok, but not as good as we expected given other reviews. The service was very haphazard since no server seemed to be assigned to our table. Probably will not go back.

Great food and service, but pricy for what you get.

Food is awesome! Falafel probably some of the best I've had. Meza plate is very yummy too.Service is probably more European than American, but not terrible. Friendly just a bit more relaxed than we are used to.Atmosphere is nice and relaxed with lots of outdoor and indoor seating.Been twice and will be back.

We popped in here on a Sunday afternoon and the service was awful. I'd been wanting to visit since they moved to the bigger space with the full bar and was thoroughly disappointed. When we walked in we were barely acknowledged and had to ask for a drink menu in addition to our food menus. It took just as long for our food as it did for our bloody marys. The gal working did not smile nor even spoke to us when she dropped things off. The food was good but not worth the dine in experience, we will order Togo next time. If I were the owner, I'd be embarrassed that the two people on for the Sunday afternoon seemed utterly clueless and miserable. The lost the business at least two rounds of drinks just by never coming back. Wanted to love this place so much!

I was disappointed with the quality and flavor of the food. We got a platter with dolmas, hummus, falafel, and pita. Dolmas were very dry, like they were old.We also got the garlic fries, chicken souvlaki pita wrap, and spanakopita. The spanakopita was worse than the frozen ones from Trader Joe’s. Barely any filling, just dry and lifeless. Extremely disappointing. The chicken was dry.The only item that I’m not annoyed I paid for is the garlic fries. At least those were decent.

If you go to the new Troy, go in the evening. The two servers Bernie and Martina are awesome. Bernie is so sweet and social. She remembers customer's names and does her best to give great service. Her co worker is just as nice. Their accents may fool you, they are not Greek, they are Argentinian. We are regulars there and now she even remembers our order. We prefer to go in the evening because of the great service. If you go during the day, the servers are the B-Squad for sure. They don't smile or say much and are not dressed as nice or professional. The chef, Mario is nice too. Our favorite is the beef and chicken skewers, their hummus and pita is delicious. The apple, walnut, Chicken salad is yummy too. The Greek tea is my addiction, and their baklava is so sweet it will leave you with a smile and a toothache.

Such a dark place and terrible staff. The food was alright but the atmosphere ruined the whole experience. The staff lady couldn't even pronounce the things on her own menu and seemed disinterested in seating us. When we walked in, no one greeted us and when we asked if we could sit we got no response. There was little lighting and it was almost completely empty. The dish called the Kofta came on a metal rod which looked rusty and unsanitary. Never again, terrible and rude staff, terrible atmosphere, mediocre food.

Troy's has been a favorite of ours for years, always delicious, fresh and served with a smile and now that they are in a space fitted for the tastes they serve they are even better! It is also a wonderful alternative to all the crown three eating out ethnic sectors of Asian, Mexican and italian. We usually order to pick up and bring home to eat, being on a tight budget we get a little crafty when ordering and the staff is super helpful in figuring that out in a friendly nonjudgmental way. Our order is usually 4-8 falafel on the side, 1-2 orders of hummus w pita, small order of tratziki sauce, and a side of gyro meat (best I have ever had anywhere). Maybe an extra pita or two depending. Love the green hot sauce and tahini but they aren't joking about the red hot sauce being hot. About $30ish and will easily divide into 4 meals @$7.50 which is equal or less than a kids meal at the drive through.... The best part of that equation is that it's NOT a drive thru meal it's TROY'S yay! Still want fries with that? No problem their regular Greek fries blows theirs away and they rock garlic fries too!

The chicken shawarma and house gyro are both good, flavorful and not overcooked / dried out. I got wraps for both, the pita bread they use for wraps is very fresh and thick. I would order both again.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 8 years now, and they never disappoint! I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu by now (all delicious!) but my usual order is the bowl of lentil soup and a side greek salad (get the orange greek soda too). The soup is the best lentil soup on the island! Hearty, and seasoned perfectly. The service is friendly too. It’s one of the best greek restaurants in the east bay IMO.

Troy has always been great! Now that they're in the nicer location, the atmosphere is better as well. I had the grilled salmon and dolmas and loved both. I also recommend the Greek sodas, falafel and gyro wraps, fries, and moussaka. The food isn't the cheapest, but they give you a lot so it's a very good value.

This place has absolutely the best Greek food in Alameda! Since they moved to the new bigger location next door where Pappo used to be they definitely kicked it up a notch. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is great, and they now have a full bar. I gotta give a shout out to Blanca and Hector too! If you want a tasty meal at a reasonable price come check out the all new Troy!
