My husband and I go out every Friday and have tried many restaurants in Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek. Zenia is our spot whether for drinks and appetizers or dinner. At many restaurants my drink is skimpy, watered down or the brand is substituted without asking if it is ok. Really delicious Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and Chicken Cordon Bleu. We had a shrimp appetizer that was pretty good too. But unfortunately didn’t get a picture. We also had a couple drinks and some delicious tiramisus with a bit of coffee after dinner. Outdoor seating with wind covers and some overhead heaters. Was very pleasant even on a windy night! Great wait staff who were very attentive and wonderful!
This is a hard review to write because I have wanted to go here for some time now. The reviews seem to really pump this place up so it was definitely on my list, despite being wary of big-box shopping centers' restaurants.Sat outside: sitting so close to an intersection in the parking lot of a busy Safeway was anything but pleasant.
