“The food is hearty and affordable, but lacks flavor a bit for me. I was planning to try this place for a while as it’s a true SF staple but was disappointed by the quesadilla I picked. Just tons of cheese and bland chicken. Barely could finish a half of it. The wet burrito had more taste thanks to the sauce so that’s probably the safe choice if you can manage to eat that huge thing. The service was very friendly though and the ambiance of a lively Mexican spot was nice.“

I understand that carrots and zucchinis in your taco burrito can throw people off. On the other hand if you want more veggies in your Mexican food, this place would be a blessing. I think they should do bell pepper and onion fajitas, instead of carrots and zucchini.
I got the chicken soup burrito, which came out to $15 before tip
The chicken was a little under flavored, and the beans did not have that signature Mexican umami depth to it.
Overall, under spiced and missed the mark flavored, but freshly made, which is always nice.
I did wish they grilled their burritos like many other Mexican places. Or just generally made it less soggy and wet.
Perhaps this place is more suited for people who don’t want as many spices in their food and don’t have a pepper tolerance
They do have a little kids plate for $6.50 which is nice. Seating space is very limited so take out is advised.
