Got the roast chicken lunch box—containing enough tasty olives, delicious chicken and unbelievable potatoes to serve 2. I would happily back to try the grab and go food, the sausages, and desserts offerings. The small outdoor dining area and great service are nice, too. Go!

Picnic is a true gem. Love this place.
As an ex Oakland resident, the fried chicken sandwich at Picnic got me nostalgic for Bake Sale Betty. So damn good.
Also, their rotisserie chicken is out of this world. Highly recommended. Great grab and go salads are available too.

I am from out of town and needed a quick lunch and this place was amazing! I don’t know if I could ever get tired of eating here or taking out! The quality of everything was blatantly obvious and fantastic

I bought a whole rotisserie chicken. It was good sized and moist, but over seasoned. They could put less salt in their brine or brine it less and rub on less spice. Sandwiches are good.

Love what these guys are doing
I walk in, ask for a lunchbox or sandwich, walk out. It's that easy and the food is fantastic. Been walking by this place for some time now without knowing. I know now!

Who closes at 6pm every day? Some amateur cook it at home nonsense. Welcome to SF.

We love picnic and try to go at least a couple times a month for a sandwich and supplies for dinner.
The sandwiches are usually geared towards red meat, but sometimes you can find a day with turkey or chicken.
The roasted chicken is superb and well flavored, and the accoutrements are good too.
Lots of premade charcuteries, a nice little wine selection, fresh bread, and more. Well worth a visit whether its for take out or a sandwich.
Vegetarian options: Not many veggie options, it's primarily a butchery.
Parking: There is usually parking on Solano if you continue west, past San Pablo
Kid-friendliness: It's a small boutique shop, but they have kid friendly food.

First time here. Ordered lunchbox, wagyu sandwich and chicken farro soup. The rotisserie chicken was moist. Sauces were not necessary and wasn't impressive. Wagyu sandwich was okay. Bread was great. Meat was chewy and lacked flavor. No trashcan or public bathroom. This was odd to me considering they provide indoor and outdoor dining. The trash is the city trashcan which seems wrong. Service was off at the beginning. Felt like questions and feedback weren't welcomed.Food was running out during this hour as the cashier was turning away customers due to sandwiches being out of stock.

Sandwiches and sides are always tasty and delicious! The corned beef sandwich was a flavor explosion. It knocked my socks off! The whole chicken and potatoes are a perfect dinner for my family. I am always happy after eating here.

Just got a Roast Beef Sandwich. Wow. Delicious with good bread and perfect ratios of meat to toppings. Very impressed, will definitely return. They said they do not have Porchetta since they lost their pork supplier.

Picnic is a treasure. They have so much yummy stuff. Their sandwiches are awesome. Their sausage selection is incredible and the ingredients are top end. This is no place for vegans or people on special diets. But it is heaven for the rest of us. Picnic is a destination market!
Parking: Lots of free parking on San Pab and in the lot next door.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level entry from San Pablo and Solano Avenue.
