Big fan of Mr. Itani. Consistent, delicious, and I love the choose-your-own-adventure style. My favorites: Yonsei Oyster, Futomaki, Salmon, Zuke, Toro. My only request is a more robust wine selection.
Taste pretty good!
This restaurant is now going to be on our regular rotation when we come over from the City to Berkeley Rep. The hand rolls are each unique and exquisite; the cocktails are inventive and enhanced w/Japanese touches; and our server couldn’t have been better — friendly and professional and enhanced our experience w/expertise as well as generosity.
Well done! (Good value as well, especially for the quality.)

Yonsei Handrolls serves great fish quality and delicious house made soy sauce. The restaurant offers wonderful drinks and a great value lunch set. Customers love the hand rolls, particularly the OG omaka-set, Zuke Maguro, and Negihama. The Yonsei set is also recommended, with the option to add Black Cod. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful, making it one of the best restaurants.
