Ren was super detailed, kind, and really knows his stuff. He made the whole experience so much better with his recommendations and explanations. The food was absolutely stellar, top-notch quality, and incredibly fresh.
I honestly canât thank Ren enough. Iâm definitely coming back on a regular basis , this is officially my #1 go-to sushi spot in the entire Bay Area for weekends. Highly, highly recommend!

Visited here during weekdays. I used to love their first location in Kensington, that place is an easy 5 stars for me. I came back here because I had amazing experiences during their soft opening, with staff giving detailed explanations and incredible service.
But wow⊠things have completely changed here. The sushi is still good, but the service has gone downhill so badly. I had to ask for the same thing multiple times, and everything came out painfully slow. Itâs frustrating when you know how good they used to be.
Honestly, I wish everyone comes here once just to see how bad the service is now. I really hope itâs not just me getting this treatment, but if you want a better experience, just go to their Kensington location instead.

Food was great. Simply amazing, but okay for the price. Service, though, was honestly terrible. Took over 30minutes to get food as well. All the ladies who were working didnât do anything to solve the issue. Most of the staff seemed inattentive and unhelpful, which made the experience pretty frustrating. The only exception was the male server we had over the weekend, he was super friendly and attentive, which definitely made things a bit better.
Overall, I wouldnât really come back

We go to their other location in Kensington alot and decided to try this one out because it's open till 10pm, later than the other one. The food is every bit as excellent and the service was super friendly. Salmon hand roll comes highly recommended! If you haven't been to the area, in our case we found it charming and cute and parking wasn't too hard too find at all. The immediate area has lots of craft beer, coffeshop and a craft cider shop to check out afterwards within very short walking distance.

The sashimi is very fresh. All menu is highly recommended. A friend told me that it's the best in the area, and once you try it, you won't be able to go anywhere else. I've tried Sakana in Kensington and tried Solano's upgraded menu, and I was very satisfied, so I give it 5 stars. I will definitely be back.

I recently discovered this new sushi spot, and it was such a wonderful find! đ
I tried the chirashi and a couple of rolls, and both were outstanding. The chirashi bowl came with a beautiful variety of fresh sashimi â so clean, delicate, and high quality that even I, who usually donât eat much sashimi, felt comfortable enjoying it.
The rolls were also excellent and well-balanced. I also love that they offer many vegetarian options and use black rice, which shows how much they care about healthier choices and their customersâ well-being.
This place is definitely worth supporting, and I canât wait to come back! đ€©
