This is a long overdue review. i've been here two times. Once for pick up in the middle of the pandemic and one time after where me and a few friends got to sit down and enjoy a meal at the location. The first time it was super easy to order. We came in ordered got the food in a takeout bag. You were still able to eat out front but you just had to take it with you. The sauces were all put in separate cups. The second time when we got to sit down it was plated. We all ordered the same thing. The Hainan chicken rice. This is what I ordered both times. The time we got to sit down, we split a duck pizza. The duck pizza was OK but I recommend sticking with the chicken rice or try something else. I can see why the chicken here is a star. Everything is so flavorful even though what you're pretty much ordering this chicken and rice. And it looks boiled. The sauces were all very fantastic and I wanted to get extra ginger oil sauce for my chicken cause I love that flavor on it. This is one of those places where if someone is looking for that chicken dish, I wouldn't hesitate to point them in this direction. Probably as good as it gets although I have to admit I'm probably not the most experienced with this dish. Definitely a place I would love to come back to you when I'm in the area.

Hands down the best Hainan chicken rice in SGV! This place has been here for years and I've tried others but no one holds it down like Savoy. The rice is super fluffy and flavorful. The chicken is made perfect and goes so well with their sauces. I always ask for extra sauce because it's just too delicious. I haven't been here in a while and did notice the meat portion is a bit smaller then I remembered but then again with inflation I understand restaurants gotta do what they gotta do to stay afloat. At least the quality is still the same.

Good god - I'm so glad I was introduced to the best Hainanese chicken rice dish I ever had. I always tend to get dark meat chicken whenever I have the chance, but I have no doubt that I would also enjoy white meat. The way they made the whole plate was so appetizing, I had no chance to breathe. The skin to meat portion was perfect. The flavor and texture of the rice was perfect. The access to three sauces was fun, with a moderate amount of salad was perfect. I also enjoyed their refreshing lemon tea they had. Nothing was overbearing for me, and I WILL be returning.

I know people come here fore the hainan chicken, but I think after having it so many times, I'm starting to order other things. Hainan chicken 7/10 - kinda average, tasty, but the rice isn't too rich in chicken fat Duck salad 8/10 - healthier alternative.. no carbs, the duck is just cold cuts. I kinda like it lol. Baked halibut 5/10 - too creamy for my taste and the breading ends up getting soggy. Chicken curry 7/10 - taste is decent. Kinda taste like those curry cubes tbh, but maybe that's just me Chrysanthemum tea 9/10 - if you're gonna get anything, get the tea, but maybe I'm bias.

Simple, affordable, and delicious! I can tell this place is popular with locals - I came on a Thursday afternoon and they were setting up multiple large orders for pickup. The portions are big and despite being a simple meal, it tastes good. The dark meat is an extra dollar but I would definitely recommend - it tastes so juicy. I saw the guy next to me eating a pasta and it looked so good! I'll be back to try more things on the menu. :)

I ordered the chicken pasta for pick up and it comes with pizza bread. Chicken Pasta : It's pretty basic, just tomato pasta with chicken. There are huge slices of garlic in the sauce so I was caught off guard every time I bit into a slice of garlic. The sauce was pretty watery and sort of bland. Solid 5/10. Pizza Bread : It was a bit tough to bite into but after dipping it in the chicken pasta which is probably what you're supposed to do, it tastes pretty good. I'd give it a 4/10 if eaten by itself. Service : I've been here twice and both times, the workers didn't really have a care for customers and were pretty rude when I called in and when I picked up the food. The second time, I didn't tip cause of the service and I felt like they were giving me a nasty look because of it

Yum!! Savoy Kitchen is a 626 must visit for Hainan chicken! I've been coming here for years now and everyone I've brought here loves it. My go to order is the Hainan Chicken Rice which is also their house special. The chicken is so juicy and not dry at all. The rice is steamed in chicken broth making it also super flavorful! It comes with three sauces - ginger, chili, and soy sauce. All of them are *chef's kisses* so good especially their ginger and chili sauce! They will refill the sauces for you so feel free to ask for more if you run out. I've dined-in and did to go both during covid. For dine-in, we sat outdoors. Spacing wasn't too far apart from other people but the place is also pretty small so they're doing the best they can to accommodate as many customers. For to go, be sure to ask for extra sauces!! They seemed very generous with the amount of sauces for our to go order after we asked for extra.

Hello Hainan chicken of my dreams! This is the real deal, best chicken and best price point. The chicken is so tender the rice is so flavorful and the sauces are on point. Exactly what I remember eating as a kid. We also tried the seafood pasta and smoked duck pizza. The seafood pasta was amazing, the flavor of the seafood was strong and delicious. But could've totally not gotten the pizza and been happy. It's just chewy dough with a ton of cheese on top, hiding all of the good smoked duck. Still giving this place a five though because the food and price is incredible for what they're known for -- the hainan chicken. So if you're coming for Hainan chicken this is the spot. Just don't get the pizza

I used to enjoy this place, but their dark meat chicken taste more like white meat now, and simply isn't up to par for paying extra for it. Customer service is wack here, and so is their creme brûlée. I kept giving them a chance but not worth trying again.

I've been meaning to try Savoy for many years & finally got the chance when I visited SoCal recently. Chicken thigh were juicy and soft! Rice was soft/fluffy but wished it had more of the Hainan taste & coloring (yellow). It would also be nice if there was a green onion sauce but I'm not complaining - this whole lunch plate was only around $10-11. A yummy & satisfying meal in SoCal!

Take out only. They're super busy inside but it's a well oiled machine got my food and got out in no time. Baked dishes are delicious with noodles or rice.

Parking is easy to find. They have a dedicated parking lot right across the street and there is plenty of street parking. Credit cards accepted and dine in available outside on patio. We got the whole hainan chicken and the beef curry with pasta. The chicken did not come with rice and you do have to order it. It's $3 for a very generous portion of rice! The chicken was delicious - juicy and moist. The sauces complemented perfectly and they will refill your sauces for you. I wasn't a fan of the beef curry. The texture was more soupy/lumpy (not sure how to describe) than what I am used to. The food comes out really quickly. I think we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering!

Second time stopping by. I ordered the Hainan chicken the first time (highly recommend getting dark meat for more tenderness), and ordered the curry chicken the second time. The Hainan chicken is pretty good. It's very tender and the chicken flavored rice is delicious. The curry chicken was decent, it was pretty oily and I wish it came with more vegetables since it only came with chicken and a few potatoes. For the curry chicken, you can choose either rice or pasta. I went with pasta and it was pretty standard. The food came out EXTREMELY FAST - we ordered and the food came in under 5 minutes. Overall a solid spot!

THE best Hainan chicken in town. Bet. This spot is best known for their amazing Hainan chicken, but they also serve pasta, salads, curry and so much more! Today, I ordered the Hainan chicken and rice. Still as good as the first time. Everytime. The chicken is so moist. I know. The word moist doesn't sit well with others. Lol. But it really is. It's tender and juicy, and melts in your mouth. Don't forget to dip in the sauces provided. My favorite is the ginger sauce. Oh so good. Can't have chicken without the rice right? The rice is cooked in chicken broth, which makes it so much tastier. So come give your taste buds a ride. You'll thank me.
