Best diner in town, I must say. A great selection of food and ample portions for the price. Their coffee is spectacular!

Sad to inform everyone The Diner on Main has closed down. We to the location for breakfast on march 29th to find it closed. I proceeded to drive to Shakers in South Pasadena, where I found my Main St. Diner Server. She informed me The Diner had closed down. Another restaurant falling victim to covid closures.

Overall, meh at bestFood was edible but I wouldn't say delicious, coffee was watery but not too bitter at least. Orange juice was very good.Servers were quick enough but really not great at getting what we needed. Hostess was short and a little rude. Table was technically clean enough but definitely not as clean as it could be.Lots of staffs had masks but only about 1/5 actually had them over their face, sign said if you feel ill to social distance???

We have had lunch twice at Diner on Main in the past week and have been impressed by both the food and the service. It's structure is typical 1950's coffee shop, but the food is definitely a cut above. The prices are modest for what you get.

Food was great, better than the franchise ones. Friendly staff and good service. Wait was about 10 minutes which wasn’t too bad. Parking lot was near full but managed to find a spot.

An east coast style diner! I went on a Sunday and was seated right away, but it took was seemed like a long time for my waffles. The waffle, egg and sausage combo I got is $2 less during the week. Food was good, not exceptional. I will go back.

Well, the "new owners" have already started on a bad foot. I went today with my kids to eat breakfast and to our surprise the place was closed on Monday?? The new hours are closed Mondays & Tuesdays! After going there to eat for 15 years, this what happens when a new regime comes in and takes. We'll, be going to our next favorite place, Ihops which is not as good as Diner on Main, but it's better than nothing! Sign of the times, I guess!

Love this place! Not only do they have good food, the staff is the best! It's unfortunate the place has been sold and neighborhood diner will never be the same if the new owners take the heart and soul (THE STAFF) away from this landmark Diner in Alhambra!
Everytime I come it's an excellent experience. The service is great even on the busiest days. The food is excellent The breakfast happens to be my favorite I love their fries and their drinks are always delicious. Cherry coke is my favorite. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a good comfort meal.

Ate at this restaurant yesterday the food was super good but what was even better is the courteousness and how cool the waitress was I’d like to put a beautiful review for her her name is shay They need to hire people with this kind of attitude the girl was so cool and I’ll go and I would definitely go back to this place and the food was delicious

Really good breakfasts especially their flakey and light waffle, omelettes, pies and bread. Pretty good Mexican dishes too. I love their bacon fried rice. I've had delicious dinners as well, I can recall the pot roast being a winner. The plus is they also have a bar called the office. They have their own parking lot and lots of street parking.
