Good food and great service. No wait at all on a Sunday evening. Kai's white was good. Takoyaki was delicious too.

Ordered the fried chicken ramen (volcano) - amazing spicy broth that really had a kick to it. The fried chicken does get soggy in the broth but I was okay with it personally. Service - only bad thing, took 30-40 minutes when there was only one other party in the restaurant

First of all Google Maps takes you to the wrong plaza where the 168 Market is but it's actually The Valley Square Plaza next to it. Parking was decent there's a big lot in the back with plenty of spaces. We came here on a Sunday around 1pm and got seated right away but started filling up shortly. My bf and I both got a free Thai tea with check in which was nice. He ordered the Kai's white which was a garlic butter base and I got the black with was a black garlic oil with no scallions and added a side of corn. They both came with pork belly, half a soft boiled egg, kikurage mushrooms, scallions and crispy onions. We both thought portion size was just right. We finished and felt just full enough so not hungry but not hurting. The broth was rich and delicious. I liked the white better I think cuz of the butter flavor so I would order again but the pork was probably the star. It was super tender and flavorful. I would say it didn't get 5 stars as the service was a little slow and I thought that the toppings were a little pricey. $2 for a small side of corn seems excessive. But we'd definitely still come back.

Not a bad place to grab Ramen with average Tsukemen. Parking is fine, the plaza is pretty big with a Supermarket. I was able to park near the restaurant without too much trouble. Went on a Wednesday afternoon for a quick lunch. Place was pretty empty, with only one person serving. Ordered the Tsukemen and the portion felt well sized. Presentation was solid. Came with eggs and two thick pieces of pork. Both were super enjoyable. The broth was not bad either, with some bits of pork in it. I'd prefer the broth to be a bit thicker. However, the noodles were pretty hard to eat, they stuck together and it was hard to grab them to dip. The broth coated the soup fine once I got them to separate though. Giving the Tsukemen a 3/5. I'd give the Tsukemen a 3/5. Super average and not bad. It's satisfying, but won't blow you away. Hopefully next time I order the noodles are easier to eat!Great service. No complaints. 5/5 there. Overall, this place is a solid 4/5. If you're a local, it's gonna get the job done. Though there might be some better spots for Tsukemen if that's your interest.

Great ramen I ever have. The service is fast and the parking is always available. They use the special thin ramen that can make my red Kai to be very special. I'll be back the next time.

Walked in today, so perfect for a rainy day!! It was around 3pm and there were 2 other tables besides me. Tsukemen (dipping ramen) & green tea was so tasty... especially the pork! Literally soo tender, I loved it. They're currently short-staffed, but Wendy (the only server there today) was great! Very sweet & efficient. FYI, if you check in on yelp, there's a free thai tea.

Kai Ramen (Alhambra, CA)Items:1. Kai White | $15 | 4/5 Review:- They offer free thai tea if you check in! The tea was very strong, and it was a bit sweet, but it's free! - The Kai White ramen is pretty much your standard tonkotsu ramen. The best part was probably their super soft meat. There was only 2 pieces, but the pork melted in my mouth - We went on a Wednesday night and there were not that many people.- I think the meal for its price is very worth. You can get a solid bowl of ramen plus a free drink of thai tea for ~$15. ParkingFree. There is a parking lot in front of the store.

Food was great. My kai white ramen wasn't seasoned super well when I ate there but, good classic ramen taste and feel overall.

Still the best ramen in the West SGV. tucked away in the back of a strip center off Valley. just west of New Avenuealways with the ramen, hard noodles. it comes w plenty of toppings. the mrs. always goes with the chicken Kaaraage. she loves it. low key, great food, more than decent service. write a review on Yelp, get a free drink or topping for your ramen.

Shared parking lot in a plaza, I can see this place getting packed but I came around 1:30pm on a Sunday and it was pretty open. There was only one other couple dining in and two other parties joined us after. The person who took our order seemed a little bored haha. Tables and seats/booths seemed clean.TIP: check in and get a free Thai tea with any entree (limit one per table and dine in only). I got the Kai yellow ramen and at first my bf wasn't sure how to feel about it cause it was topped with cheese but it was delicious! Beware, the cheese pulls can get a little messy hahah. I think it was supposed to be spicy but I think I'm used to more heat so it didn't taste very spicy to me. The broth was good and the egg was *chefs kiss*. The pork cha shui was a little tough but otherwise the ramen noodles were cooked to perfection! I'd order this again. The Takoyaki was just ok, felt like it had more batter than anything; I wouldn't order this again. My bf ordered the fried chicken curry with rice and the curry was tasty! The chicken wasn't too dry and he said he'd order it again. The Thai iced tea was really good too! It was a great contrast to all the savory foods we ordered.

Ramens (tried Kai & Spicy chicken) itself very boring, the soup was very blur, not just soup Chashu as well... The spicy chicken ramen came with fried chicken which was not restaurant made:( very dry & taste frozen food... and the all ramen prices between $14-16, not worth...

Happened to be in the area this evening and had some time to kill along with a belly to fill in between meetings. Pulled up in this plaza where Kai Ramen is located and thought to myself "how about some Ramen?". Staff was friendly and I ordered the Volcano (crispy chicken) ramen with a side of chashu chicken. The crispy chicken was actually better than the chashu chicken in my opinion. Overall a quick solid meal and if I find myself in the same situation I'd definitely stop by again.

This is our first time for Kai Ramen. Their Kai's White is so good with garlic butter soup. Highly recommended.

Nice ramen joint tucked in the Lee's sandwich plaza near 168. The good ol' creamy tonkotsu ramen has a nice flavor. Nicely porky and served with 2 pc of chashu. The soup has too much oil tho, you can definitely taste it and after the soup cools down, it's definitely visible. The chicken katsu with curry is a nice meal too. The katsu is thin but crispy, even after soaked in the curry. Very generous with the white rice; definitely needs to soak up all that delicious creamy curry! The calamari is nicely crispy but taste kind of fishy. Served with a side of lettuce salad and sesame mayo. Not a bad snack. The staffs here are so nice. Maybe cuz they're indonesian?! *guessing* Came here on Saturday night and place is empty. Sad! Need to come back here more often!!
