This is an excellent neighborhood omakase spot. The space is airy and welcoming. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Has a parking lot. It was delicious. Portions are small but delicious. Would come again.

We recently had this lunchtime omakase menu at this restaurant. Alongside the omakase, we decided to order 2 additional pieces of sea perch and 2 hand rolls. However, to our surprise, when we received the bill, we were taken aback by the exorbitant prices for these extra items. They charged us an astonishing $40 for the 2 pieces of sea perch nigiri and another $40 for the 2 hand rolls. To make matters worse, the seared fish we were served had a bitter taste, which was quite disappointing considering the reputation of this restaurant. Additionally, during our meal, I had to repeatedly ask for a refill of my tea as my cup remained empty for extended periods. This overall experience left us feeling unsatisfied with both the pricing and the quality of the food. It's disappointing to encounter such a lack of reasonable pricing, especially at a restaurant that offers omakase dining. We believe that fair and reasonable pricing is an essential part of the dining experience, and this establishment fell short in that regard.Given our experience, we have decided not to return to this restaurant in the future. We hope that the management takes note of these concerns and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better dining experience for future customers.

Had a great dinner at Kogane again. The food and service were great. The sushi chefs were friendly and gave very interesting tidbits about the fish, process and taste. The meal lasts about 1 hr and 45 min. Since everyone eats at the same rate for each dish through the course, don't forget to be on time. :)

Absolutely amazing omakase sushi. Course after course of sheer delicacy and perfection. The best sushi I have ever had in Los Angeles. Charming ambiance; soft jazz background music; lovely service. What an incredible treat.

The food here is fantastic! . Great omakase lunch set! If you can splurge ($120/ person) for lunch, I would recommend this sushi restaurant. My favorites are the otoro, the scallop, sweet shrimp, saba, and the hand roll. Everything else is great too! Must make reservations on the Tock App. Our host/ server was very knowledgeable of how all of the different fish have been prepared. Would come back

One of the best in this sgv area. The crew at kogane are masters of their craft! We've been back and already have plans to come back again. They never fail to cheer my belly up full of super fresh, thoughtful omakase with everything that is in season and the best quality available! Parking is plentiful in the lot behind. Enter from around the front.

Lunch omakase was incredible. Got to chat with chef Azumi throughout the courses he prepared and we had the opportunity to learn a lot about him and all fish he was preparing. He introduced us to nodoguro and it was one of the best pieces we had!

Loved the whole experience. We went for lunch which was different for us, we usually do the last seating. But lunch was fun and relaxing. Everything was so fresh and we left more than satisfied. We added uni as our last treat. With every penny, chef was generous.
