Shinkai Sushi Japanese Fusion

Very good selection of sushi and sashimi. The Wagyu fried rice is amazing - highly recommend it. Their sliced ginger is also pretty good as it is made with a house recipe. We'll definitely come back!

This place is incredibly high quality and delicious. It's also a really well priced. Do you even have a great lunch option that's even better priced.

Easily th best sashimi in town. We live close to Yama seafood and their sashimi is tops already but still not as good as Shinkai's thick cut, ultra fresh fish and just quality all around! Go during lunch and get the chirash or sashimi lunch and you will be back soon!

Oh and great service with super friendly staff and chefs.

Great spot! I surprised about the seaweed salad. It was very tastey and went well with the sushi! Service was very attentive and helpful!

If I could. Id eat here every day.
But they are closed on Mondays. Lol

This place is extremely kind consistent and delicious.

The lunch special here is a steal! Excellent quality and value. I love their chirashi bowl, the fishes are fresh and they give you a lot. The grilled sea bass and black cod are a little small in term of portion but they are still good value for the price.

Taking my mom to her first American sushi journey, so l picked shinkai as the highest score sushi restaurant in Alhambra area.
We've got seated right away when we arrived at a lunch time, and the servers r very nice and fast.
We ordered salmon bowl, tuna roll and also the chirashi bowl, very fresh and my mom enjoyed very much.
This place is always very busy, so plan ur visit ahead.
We will be back!

Not sure how it's better than other sushi restaurants, but it's better. Albacore and salmon were outstanding, yellowtail was extra special, rub snapper a must try. Everything was great. Stephen and Allen were outstanding.

I’ve been to Shinkai many times for lunch and dinner and they have never disappointed. Their food quality and service especially from Joe, continues to be wonderful.
They seriously have one of the best lunch deals around and it’s offered on weekdays & weekends. This time around we ordered the Deluxe Sashimi Lunch and the Combo with a Toro don(very rare to find especially at such a reasonable price!) & grilled Miso Black Cod. I shared these items with my aunt and we were both able enjoy all the delicious food. Excellent food and very fresh, quality sashimi. Toro hands down… if you know, you know!

Ordered the bento with fried chicken and crunchy roll. Table mates had california rolls and Tempura. Food was of above average quality and came out quickly. But nothing more. Service was attentive and responsive.
