The food is very authentic and delicious, especially the Kung Pao chicken. The spiciness and sweetness are well balanced. They use glutinous rice instead of glutinous rice flour in Fried rice cake with brow sugar, which makes the texture ever better. The stir fry mustard is also perfect. The chefs are definitely amazing but the service needs to improve. The waiters need to be more attentive. After waiting for about 20 mins, a waiter led us to sit at table A2 without saying anything. We waited for another 20 mins but nobody came to take our order. Then my husband accidentally found a QR code on the table and we started to put our order through our cellphone. We were surprised that nobody told us that we needed to order from the QR code. However during our waiting for food, I saw a waiter taking orders from our neighbor seats and he even talked with the customers about getting stopped by police when drunk. When they served the food, they just put the food on the table without saying the name of the dish. We can see they were under staffed but nobody came to check on us until I got the attention of a waiter and asked for two boxes. He brought us two boxes and asked me to pay. I told him that we ordered food through QR code because nobody came to take our order after 20 mins. I would pay with my phone. He didn’t apologize but insisted me to pay through the his hand held credit card machine. We originally wanted to pay with my phone and gave lower tips as my husband and I agreed because we didn’t get any service. However, we were pressured to pay higher tip with poor service. The waiter did chat with other customers in Chinese. But for some reason, we were totally ignored during the whole dinning experience.

I liked sichuan impression, but wasn’t a huge fan. Dishes were creative and tasty, but not outstanding, and the service was all electronic so although the staff were kind it didn’t feel very personal.

Food quality-wise, i can tell how this reataurant has been surviving for really a long time. Since my little sons cannot eat spicy food, I tried to find non-spicy food and ordered. Lamb skew: i am picky with lamb and this dish was really good. No strong smell, not too chewy, properly seasoned. Kungpao chicken: not spicy version i think. Sauce flavor is just properly sweet, chicken is tender, nuts are also properly cooked. Radish and beef soup: this would be very healthy. Ox tail might be cooked inside for a long time(asian way) and i can taste the deep flavor. Potato slice dish(forgot the name): although it was not my sons' favorite, i think it is tasty enough. Nothing really special to describe. Price: 4 dishes total 91$ including 18% tips. INCLUDING TIPS........ can you not show me a screen with minimum 18% tip while it is a takeout order....? Customized 0 tip right in front of staff when they are looking at me is really tricky.

When I tell you I was craving this spot. I had gone here the first time with family and it was so good. But very spicy. The peppers will make your tongue numb. But this place hits the spot. I tried their ma-po tofu and their bamboo shoots and I've been hooked ever since. Since that first time, I tried other restaurants where they said they had it, but it didn't taste the same. I even tried to cook it myself, I was so desperate, with my cooking level at a lvl 0. Finally, I was able to get my hands on it again from this restaurant, and this time, I did ask if they could make the tofu milder. I still got the same great taste and a much better spice level for my baby buds. I'll keep going here until the day I die. Perfect for a cold day imo

I'm a huge fan of spicy food and was recommended sichuan impression by a fellow foodie friend. I didn't even realize this restaurant was on the Michelin guide until after but I definitely can see why. The food was delicious, the perfect type of spice with just a bit of numbing. I got the ma po tofu and kung pao chicken. I'll definitely have to come back to try more! The inside was super cute, very beautifully decorated. (Great vibes for a date night!) There was an option to order from a QR code via my phone so I opted for that. The service was also very attentive and kind! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a spicy dish! Also the parking garage behind it makes coming here so much easier.

This restaurant is a great find! My husband and I wanted spicy food and we found it in Alhambra! We ordered spicy wontons, kung pao chicken, spicy fish filet, and pork ribs! The food was delicious if you can handle the peppercorn. Drink lots of water! Wait staff was sharp and quick! The decor was not your typical Asian restaurant. It was a great place for dinner!

Wow! Absolutely amazing food and service. All the food are authentic but it is one of the best chinese food I ever had. Price is reasonable, and nice atmosphere. Must place to go in LA area!
