Lunch special is a good value
It's cheap and delicious. The quality of sushi is soso. But it's okay. The other menu is good

I regret coming here for their AYCE lunch. The sushi was of poor quality, with mushy rice that lacked flavor. Although the service was okay, the table was very sticky, making me hesitant to place my phone on the surface. I ordered some hand rolls and sushi rolls, but they were disappointing. The only saving grace was the udon noodle; the broth was flavorful, and the udon was perfectly chewy. Unfortunately, this experience was not worth it. It’s sad to see such longtime Alhambra Japanese restaurant going down this road with its food.

There was two servers and about 5 tables with guest. Our server avoided us. We ate the lunch specials and the food was very small quantity. Not worth the price.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten. Fish was grey and flavorless. Vegetables were visibly poor quality. Rice was somehow mushy and hard at the same time. Seaweed felt like a latex glove. Sauces tasted wrong. It was grocery store sushi at best. Would give it a 1 star rating, but the staff were nice and its dirt cheap ($19.99 for lunch AYCE). Avoid this place. Wish I did.

It is not the best and it is not the worst but it is definitely not good. First time here n last time too. The sashimi does taste good at all not fresh enough it is dry, besides that many of the nigiri doesn't taste right just so weird taste some taste sour some taste dry some just indescribable. with this price $39.99 i can definitely have a better quality than this, and I admitted two of us ordered bunch and we finished almost all of them, even thou it is not as good as we expected and the rest leftover is really we can't eat it cuz i don't like the taste, i don't like it and the servicer told me with how much we have left would charge $20 for leftover even though she said it is our first time she will let it go but how much we order n how much we have left i don't think we r wasting the foods n also those leftovers are the one i don't like the taste why u want me to force myself to eat that ?! We ordered 24 dishes and aprox up to 72+pcs and we only got 7pcs left and they said they r going to charge us $20 for leftover ! Really ?!

I dont like sushi so i ordered the teriyaki chicken. It was very good! Since it was all i can eat, i got to enjoy 2 dishes of the chicken and enjoy some beer. The staff were so kind and were happy to teach my group of people how to use chopsticks. I recommend this place for sure. They even have karoake!

I have to select a star in order to post this Google review but this restaurant should really have no stars. We had been wanting to try Tomomi Sushi for a while now and we finally did and we immediately regret it. We first arrived and were seated. The server with streaks in her hair seemed nice and attentive as she explained the menu and the coupons. We wanted Bento boxes for lunch and not the All You Can Eat. Before we ordered we went to use the restroom first and the restrooms were in the back with a door to exit the building. I jokingly said "Should we exit?" Haha but I think in hindsight we should have exited! A different server came to our table to take our order. Her hair was parted on the side. We each ordered 3 item Bento boxes. When we asked for Dr. Pepper she said they ran out. She didn't offer us any other choices. So we decided on just water. We asked about food allergens. We told her specifically what our concerns were. She said she would check for us. But when she came back, she didn't say a word! She served us our miso soup and salad and left. The miso soup and salad was delicious, but now after reading a different review on here that someone found bugs in their salad, I am grossed out. Anyways, when our bento boxes came I was excited until I bit into the first piece of sashimi. The tuna was so gross! It was dry, warm, and tasted like it could be a dead tongue. I immediately spit it out into my napkin. The salmon and yellowtail pieces of sashimi were ok... cold and tender as they should be. But the albacore tuna was the same as the tuna, dry, warm, and tasted like it could be a dead tongue. I couldn't eat that either. Did they take it from the All You Can Eat bar that had been sitting out for hours? We told another server (third one with curly tendrils) who came by to bus our dishes away. She asked if we wanted a replacement? I said no thank you. So she said she would talk to the chef. When she came back, she brought us our check, she didn't say anything at all about our food and our concerns!!! Needless to say, we won't be going here again. The food was not that good. The chicken katsu was ok. The beef teriyaki was like having convenience store food beef bowl. And the tempura was unimpressive. The servers all have poor customer service.

For the price, pretty decent quality and choices. Had the weekend AYCE, and was satisfied with my meal. I'd stick with traditional sushi and premium sashimi options (first order free). Hamachi Kama is a must if you like fish and can handle bones.

The AYCE sushi was kind of hit or miss. The first plate was fantastic, with large and fresh fish pieces, but the second plate was a little off, not as good as the first plate. Salmon collar was perfectly fried and tasty. Spicy seafood soup was good, but not many ingredients, which was definitely not worth $20 list price. Baked mussels delicious. I would suggest trying a little of everything, but don't expect the second same item to be of the same quality. With all the increases in prices, this AYCE pricing is still very decent. Recommend to give it a try.

The service is pretty good. The food is okay and the cut rolls have way too much rice. Food quality is okay considering it is AYCE.
