This was my first time ever eating at a hot pot restaurant, and my family and I came here excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected. The broths had some unusual spices with a strong aftertaste that we couldn’t really enjoy. We tried our best to make the most of it, but the flavors just weren’t for us. That’s just my personal opinion. One positive thing I can say is that the service was fast when it came to bringing out the meats and drinks.
What really disappointed me, though, was what happened when we were leaving. We always leave a cash tip. We placed the tip under a cup on the table and left the receipts inside the folder, which was by the window where we were seated. As we walked out and were already around the corner outside, one of the waiters ran after us and said we didn’t leave a tip. We were surprised and told him that we did leave one on the table. He then asked, “Are you sure?” which felt very disrespectful, as if we were lying.
When we walked back by the window, we could see him going through the table looking for the tip. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Had the table simply been cleared first, the tip would have been found easily. This was the first time I’ve ever experienced something like this, and it really left a bad impression. I almost went back to take the tip, but instead I’ve decided I just won’t be returning. I wanted to share this so others are aware before deciding to dine here.

This place has to be one of thee worst spots to eat. The veggies are ok, but the meat was not good. you spend 25 dollars on some bad excuse for wagyu. then the broth that is picked is overly salted. i rather spend money that is 2-3 times this place for decent service and decent quality food. asking for water is like begging. the wait staff's eyes are so keen on a table where there's jug was not even close to emtpy, but mine was empty and dry, but i had to wait. the only good thing? leaving. I didn't even want to pay a tip but when you do order, the food comes quick. whoever in the review says that the broth is drinkable is insane and not credible. not coming back and will never want to eat at this place again

Trash restaurant! Trash service! Don’t waste your money here!
Amazing food. After living in Beijing for many years hotpot became something for those cold days to get the chill out of the bones. I can say for sure that Xiao Long Kan is as authentic as it gets in the US! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a taste of Zhong Guo

This was my first time trying Xiaolongkan Hot Pot and it won’t be my last! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were all fresh. But what really stood out was the excellent service. Our server cookie was incredibly helpful, checking in often to see if we needed anything, and always making sure we were comfortable. They made the experience feel effortless and enjoyable.

This spot is incredible. I love really spicy hot pot and most places swear by their spice but this is the only spot that hits the mark. I come here when my brother is in town and we literally will go multiple times a week. The service is great too.

Was just told that it was mandatory to leave tip because i dined in and when I declined I was told to not come back again 📉. Don't have to tell me twice
I'm pretty sure it's not the same Xuaolongkan I have had anywhere, apart from the name and decorating everything else is wrong not worth it
Good place to have a Chinese Hotpot with a decent price. The side bar offer your choices of ingredients to make your sauce along with side dishe and desert. Pleasant inside decoration that reflect Chinese culture is a plus.
I've been to all of the hot pot restaurants in this area, except this one. I think they are a chain from China.
I came in yesterday and tried three different broths: beef bone, tomato, and golden. I gotta say, the golden is probably the best of the three. In fact, I drank it way more than the others! Haha.
Their wagyu is high quality. I also got the abalone, so that was good with the broths. I liked their sweet potato and handmade noodles.
The atmosphere looks different during the daytime, but still very elegant and Chinesey!
I'd come back!
This is a really cool hot pot place that serves decadent Sichuan style dishes and fresh meat and seafood.
Highly recommended
