Lesson learned please Google a place before buying. The comments aren't lying. The food belongs in the trash. Which is where my partially eaten plate is. Potato salad a disgrace, no flavor, no onions or vegetables just mayonnaise. The greens straight out the can, not even hot sauce could save it. The brisket that came out a grandma pot not off the grill was like a stack of cut cardboard smothered in burnt bbq sauce that had no flare. Brotha man couldn't even add a soda to wash down the tragedy. I at least thought I could eat the slice bread and be happy. But you can tell it came from the church with that bout to spoil tomorrow smell. Waist of money.

I hate to say it because I love supporting local businesses, but this food was straight up inedible. I should have known when I didn’t actually see any of the meat come off the grill. Nothing was hot either. We tried the ribs and the brisket and both came from a container that I couldn’t really see. The meat smelled like it had turned already and it was covered in sauce that masked the smell until it was too late. It tasted terrible and of course we didn’t finish anything. I will not be returning.

I always want to support black business, but brother, we have to do better. I also say this as a native Texan, and really want to find good bbq in Cali, but it is so hard. I had the chicken plate. It was very disappointing. It was cold, dowsed in bbq sauce, the mac and cheese tasted like box mac and cheese, and the candied yams were pretty pitiful. When I saw him plating it, I had reservations then. Sure enough, the food was pretty bad. Like really really bad. On top of that he wasn't pretty approachable. I wish him the best and hope he refines his meat smoking technique.

I never had it but boy was waiting to get me some good ol mash potatoes and ribs. Please come back to the spot in Altadena I need it . The best of the best of the best.

BBQ tasted like lighter fluid. Equipment looked filthy. If you see his white coolers they are all dirty on the outside. His personality is dry. I will not be returning.
