“Stopped at this place for some grubbin before heading back to Susanville. Asked what was good from the waitress and she stated the burgers and explained you can make your own... so that's what I did I said I'd take one with everything. She explained that there was an auction of cattle going on next door and that normally it's next weekend but due to the holiday they were having it today so that is why the place smelt of cattle... I just thought we were getting some really really fresh meat... lol Pattie's we're not frozen or pre formed, they were hand formed and were dripping In deliciousness. Inside the lil place was homey, people seemed to all be very friendly and everyone seemed to know one another. Great place and fast service.“
“Can't say enough about the ol Wagon Wheel restaurant in Alturas. We pass through here every year or so and always stop for breakfast. Same employees greet us with smiles, and the locals are always curious. I believe the same group of old men are always at their same table. The food is good for the price as I'd never be able to get that good of biscuits and grave for that price. Large helpings and hot coffee. Kid loves their hot chocolate.Vegetarian options: Lots of breakfast options without meat.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu, lots of optionsParking: Easy to fund a spot to park.Wheelchair accessibility: First floor with easy access to move around. Open floor plan.“
