I like the hot deli and there milkshake machine. My problem is I really think there pumps are off. Maybe weights and measures should be called out and check it. I like the store just don't trust buying gas from here.
This is a frequent stopping point for us as we pass through between Boise and Redding. Over the years, I estimate we have done this trip more than 100 times, and I bet we have stopped at the Alturas Chevron more times than not. It's a typical gas-em-up-and-get-junk-food-and-caffein sort of stop. Nothing special, but always a welcome spot to get out and stretch the legs.

Wow, six bucks a gallon for gas, I never thought I'd love to see that day. Stupid Oregon drivers. In Oregon, there are signs when you pass a town that say next gas "200 miles" or some such thing, but in Cali, you better have a crystal ball, because no no one is looking out for you, and not only that, they are counting on you to be in such dire need that you will head in the opposite direction of your destination to come here just for gas.
