This place is amazing! All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the beer is excellent! We will definitely be back, and the hot dogs were bomb!!!!

Went there hoping to try and have some good beer. I was told, "No Samples". Disappointed to say the least. Oh well, business must be good.

Great local brewery, beautiful locale.

Ordered tamales with the beer. Over an hour and still no tamales. We walked out and cut our loses.

They don’t serve food anymore…the beer/food combo made it a great place to go but we won’t be back unless they bring back the food. We brought people with us and they had some tamales and store bought chips…and we had bragged about the place and were very disappointed.

Amazing find, great place to stumble upon. Classy and comfortable. The tap selection was impressive for a brewery located in the smallest town in California. Pop. 200

We found Break Even due to a detour through Jackson. We ended up searching for a dog friendly place and a patio since the closer brewery didn't fit the bill. Break Even is as aesthetically pleasing as it gets. The bohemian renovations within the old bones of the original building are beyond charming. The beer garden layout had a long catwalk over a creek to German style picnic benches. The high line elevated water misters in the high heat, and the outside cabana offered relief from the scorching sun. The staff were beyond accommodating, and they immediately offered our dog a selection of chew treats and water, along with getting a fresh keg for the beer I chose. They carried select wines from my friend's favorite winery club in Berkley. My wife loved her cider and got an extra one to go for the road. Overall the food was pretty lit too, the sausage was piping hot and marked with crisscross cuts to allow the melty cheesy goodness to show. The Panzanella salad was fresh and full of heirloom tomatoes and olives with huge chunks of soft focaccia bread. The meatloaf sandwich was decadent and came with awesome "potato chips" dusted in a Cajun style rub. Last, I would've loved to grab a coffee since they had a baby La Marzocco espresso machine, so hopefully I'll get to come back again to grab an iced espresso. Overall, this place is an amazing pit stop off of a very tight turn from a bridge to Amador!

Had a great time on the patio with the family. Listened to live music and drank some locally sourced beer thoughtfully brewed on premises. Service was fantastic and the town is nice. A great day trip into the foothills, and dog friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

We visited awhile ago when they first opened. They only had a couple of beers on at that time but they were very good. The staff was super friendly. We sat on the front patio and had a lovely time. We would recommend if you happen to be in the area.
