“We tried Moonrise Pizza for the first time paasing through towards Lake Tahoe and honestly loved it. The crust was different from any pizza we’ve had — thick, airy, and crispy full of flavor — and the toppings actually tasted fresh and creative, not the usual stuff you get everywhere else. The whole place has a cool small-town vibe, super chill and family-friendly, which made it even better. Definitely worth the drive and something we’ll be coming back for again. Love there historic town.“

When we opened it at home, we thought it was dryer than we noted. Was not fruity either for a Zin. Thought was not as we remembered.“

They have an interesting collection of wines with some varietals that don't get much attention in California (Picpoul, Nero D'Avola, Tannat). One of the owners holds down the fort in the tasting room and he shares a lot of great insight into their wines and winemaking process. Oh, and the bottle prices are very reasonable!“
