Quality does not come cheap but if you appreciate a very good meal that is large enough for something the next day as well, then this is your place. I purchased the exceptional crispy fries covered with sauce and my choice of meat that made me look forward to leftovers. Every time we are back in town to visit family Blakes Place is at the top of our list.

First time going to this restaurant. It's a counter serve BBQ joint with friendly service and good food. Our order was "to go" and we ordered the 3 meat plate with sliced brisket, pulled pork, and smoked turkey. For our two sides we chose baked beans and mac-n-cheese, plus we added a large order of fries.While we were waiting, we sat at a table for two near the counter. There was music playing, but not so obnoxiously loud that we couldn't carry on conversation. The restaurant was clean and at the time, not super busy.As stated earlier, the food was good(better than just "good"), but I think any BBQ joint should not serve any of their meats in sauce, which is how their pulled pork is served. The brisket also had some sauce drizzled on, which again, shouldn't be done. I'm not sure if they serve the meats plain, but when we go again, I will ask now that I know what to expect. Our 3 sides were all very flavorful and served at a proper hot temperature.Blake's Place is certainly a great find if you're looking for bbq style comfort food. We will definitely be going back!
I got the 3 sandwich sampler, and it was absolutely amazing. If i could, i would eat 2 of those! And the staff is great and friendly also! Place was very nice!

(I can’t rate the service nor atmosphere because I wasn’t the one picking it up) When it comes to soul food the first thing you notice is the seasoning. You can smell it and you can most def taste it. Since our fav place in Huntington Beach closed down my sister recommended this spot. The reviews were fine but the only review that counted was my sisters. Ok I was excited to try but was a bit disappointed. The meat was fine. Had a slight smoky flavor not a problem but the meat lacked seasoning (for me) but still good. The bbq sauce wasn’t to my liking so I added some of what I had at home. The mac n cheese lacked the cheese and no seasoning so I had to really doctor it up. Baked beans not too sure what they were trying to do but I wasn’t fan at all (my hubby liked them) the potato salad was good (throw in some egg and it would have been perfect). I wanted it to be great but it just wasn’t. I’m all about trying again (which I will) and hopefully it will be better.

Want the real taste of SMOKED BBQ and slow cooked food with pit master love? Go to Blake's Place. Lucille's has got some good competition from this modest but explosive flavor BBQ restaurant. On your way out, grab a bottle of their signature bbq sauce. It is like the "cherry on top" on a sundae.

During lunch time.Believed i missed the lunch rush.Went to cashier, paid for my order and got my order within minutes.What we had~ Full rack of bbq ribs. Was so tender and juicy. The ribs are so yum and sweeten.~ Blake bbq beans are full with bacon bits. Thick and yummy, I’m not a fan of baked beans. Gave it a try n it was yummy.~ coleslaw is traditional cole slaw was good and creamy.~ Garlic toast was good and not hard. Perfectly seasoned w garlic.Blake’s has their own bbq sauce. Definitely recommended to grab a regular bottle and the spicy one. Finger lickin good for all of your BBQ’s.It’s a really cute bbq restaurant. Red & white table clothes covering the table.Parking may be a bit hard to find since it’s in a business plaza and can be a bit hard to find.
