We have enjoyed many wonderful meals and service here. The outstanding atmosphere is the most unique in the parks.
My husband has celiacs disease and is vegan.
His go to dishes here are the beet salad and pistachio lemon basil pasta (yes, they can make it GF upon request), delicious! I really enjoy the prime rib when it's available (also gf, not vegan).
Sip a glass of wine, watch the boats go by and enjoy getting off your feet with some good food, cheers!

In my opinion, there is discrimination at every level of staff from the host Adolfo to the supervisor Mack & Alexa to the manager Tim. I would steer clear of this toxic environment. In my opinion, the staff believe they are entitled to belittle customers and provide preferential treatment based on ethnicity, race and sex. Disney executive team should thoroughly investigate the credentials of the employees of this establishment within its purview, as the staff has demonstrated a clear shift from empowered to entitled. Serious training deficiencies are clearly evident.

Not bad not great. Steak was overcooked but tasted fine. Chicken tasted fine. Its the definition of “alright”. Atmosphere makes up for it though, and definitely worth it if you’ve never been. Be prepared to overpay though.

So many find memories of The Blue Bayou from years past, but the food has gone downhill and is so expensive now (just the Disney way). They even charge you now for bread, which used to be included.

Food was good when it was hot, unfortunately our crab cakes were cold and the waiter took an eternity to come back. That along with the extended wait time to receive our food didn't make for the best dining experience. If this restaurant wasnt in Disney it wouldn't survive.

We’ve always wanted to eat here and luckily we were able to get a reservation. We got the 11:00 lunch reservation which was nice as it had just opened for lunch.

There was a little piece that was confusing, there were so many people coming up to ask questions. It wasn’t clear that we could have waited in the waiting area a few minutes early before our reservation. It would be nice if they had a line for reservations and a line for others.

The service was fabulous, friendly, personal and they seemed engaged… everyone from the server to the gentleman who delivered our entrees and the lady who collected our plates and gave us refills.

The food was delicious. My dad got the Monte Cristo sandwich and I got the chicken. I should have asked to have less spice to mine… seeing as we were at a Cajun restaurant… that’s my bad, not theirs. My dad got the ice cream Sunday minus the chocolate sauce, which was on the side anyway. It was a cute Disney presentation with the cookies on the side of the scoop and was very Mickey-esque.

We sat on the edge of the water which was exactly what we’d hoped for but didn’t ask. It was very peaceful and relaxing to be able to sit there for lunch and to be removed from the crowds. It is a little pricey but it’s an upscale restaurant with upscale service and food to match.

Would come back!

Ok, here's the deal. We went last year and it was quite good. They had an excellent selection on the menu, they were on top of things and very attentive.

We just went again and it was, different. The food was subpar, but the waitstaff was still amazing.

The Good:
The waitstaff was attentive and quick to refill our drinks and water. They actually cared how we were doing and made an effort to make the experience wonderful.

The Bad:
I mean this in the nicest way possible, you need to hire a head chef. The food was plated poorly and the prex fixe menu was uninspired, at best.

The Ugly:
The ingredients were mid end Sysco with no effort to hide the fact. The pesto was from a jar, the pasta was bulk, the rib eye was just terrible, and the salad was thrown together by someone who didn't care.

How do you fix it?
The kitchen staff need to put in the same effort the waitstaff does. For the price, plating matters, ingredients matter, prix fixe matters.

Went to Blue Bayou twice, once for dinner and once for lunch; both times the food and service were wonderful. Ambiance is a selling point for this restaurant and it is extremely popular so I would suggest booking reservations as soon as they become available in the Disney app. If you do miss booking check back periodically or find a website that sends alerts as there are cancelations you can sometimes snag. Overall a fun experience and a worthwhile restaurant to visit if you like finer dining experiences.

First time I went to Blue Bayou, had the Monte Cristo and it was delicious! Today returned and ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes. It was completely inedible. The amount of salt on both items was excessive and ruined the entire dish. I tried to let our waiter Fred know and he just nodded and smiled. A waste of $59.... the only positives were the ambiance and Frazier who took our pictures and went out of his way to make sure our glasses were always filled! He really interacts with everyone in and outside the restaurant. Blue Bayou is lucky to have him.
