Asked twice if we could used a different credit card to pay instead of cc attached to disneyland account, since grandma wanted to gift it. Once when making renovation, once at kiosk. Told OK. Then got charged a 219$ no show fee. I Tried calling disney multiple times to fix and all they do is make a note on file and say they will get back to me. That asalmost 3 months ago.

This won’t be a long review but it will be accurate:This attraction is waaaayyyyy overpriced. Disney is preying on the diehard Star Wars fans here like they do with everything else. For over $200 you get a “custom” lightsaber (you get 4 choices, think paper or plastic at the grocery store), bad acting (Olivander’s at Universal is way better), and the most flimsy carrying case you have ever seen (it’s basically a pool noodle shoved into an extremely cheap thin fabric shell). If you want the good lightsaber case you have to go to Dok-Ondar’s next door and drop another $50.I wish I would’ve known about the lightsaber quality/aesthetics before doing this experience. So, with that being said let me save you some $$$ if you absolutely must have a lightsaber. The pre-made lightsabers sold at Dok-Ondar’s and the Star Wars Trading post are waaayyyy cooler, better built and cheaper. The only downside with the pre-made legacy sabers is that you can’t change the kyber crystal out (for obvious reasons). Darth Vader would never have a green blade etc. Hopefully this helps you all out.

Would put 0 starts if I could I got a light saver here people were extremely rude I told them my hilt sounded like the speaker had water on it they kept saying it’s fine and then when it came to light saber dude was extremely ruff with light saber wobbles inside the hilt anytime I point up and try to move it tried to get a refund for horrible experience and dude breaking light saber in front of me but did not happen was extremely rushed the whole time kept asking question and was told that how it is

The cast is really friendly and gets into character. Extremely helpful during the build process and ensures you are well taken care of. A little pricey

These lightsabers are a little overpriced, but the experience was very nice.

I had to drag my fiancé out of this place! lolSavi's Workshop - Hand built Lightsabers can easily be passed up if you don't know that it exists. After going to the droid depot, we went looking for the lightsaber workshop (that is what I call it lol) It is not that easy to find. We walked around for a while and then eventually found it. Once inside, my fiancé was like a child in a candy store lolol He wanted to buy all of it. Like literally lol My school of thought was, built one lightsaber and move on. Build one droid and move on. But noooo, he wanted different lightsabers lol Anyway, great shop! Cool concept. Love that you can customize and build your own unique lightsaber! How awesome is that!!! Love it. But also, we don't need five lightsabers laying around the house. lol

Staff seemed to be going through the motions. Felt rushed in choosing the theme for the hilt. Inside the workshop the lead gatherer wasn’t ever in character, spoke fast was hard to understand, which lost the atmosphere from the experience. Happy with the lightsaber, but was a failure on the Star Wars experience side of things, which is the main selling point. Or you might as well just go and buy a replica sabre.

Worth. Every. Cent. While I'm not exactly well versed in all things Star Wars, I am a fan and have been a fan ever since I saw Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope in the theatre. And no, it wasn't some special throwback showing in the movies. But I digress. Being able to build a custom light saber in Savi's workshop was such a memorable experience. I enjoyed the immersive experience and ended up with a pretty cool, high end, purple light saber (like Mace Windu). The entire process was well thought out and organized. The only minor criticism I have is that you end up waiting a lot for the experience to start. But once it does, things go quickly. The cast member leading us through the history and meaning of our crystal selection and building our custom light saber was very good. Other cast members helped us (definitely needed in my case) to assemble and test our light sabers. And the piece de resistance at the end, where we all raise our light sabers... well let's just say, I felt the power of the force! Being able to live out my childhood fantasy of having my very own light saber was awesome. I highly recommend this experience! LOCATION: 5/5SERVICE: 5/5VALUE: 5/5AMBIANCE: 5/5CLEANLINESS: 5/5

Amazing experience where the staff are so friendly and helpful. You custom make your light saber and it’s perfect for those who love Star Wars. Have to reserve beforehand and the TSA allowed us to take the light saber through carry on.

This is a very cool experience for Star Wars fans. The cast members were wonderful and very helpful with any questions. I would do some research into the type of lightsaber you want to build though, as ours has trouble starting up most of the time. It requires tightening adjustments to the different pieces it’s assembled from during every use, which is sort of a letdown considering the premium price.

Wife and I had been super excited and looking forward to building a light sabor for awhile. Made the reservations ahead of time as we where supposed too, had the styles we wanted, got in, and was an absolute night mare from there. People were only supposed to have 1 guest with the builder, people next to us had 5, all of which kept pushing me aside and out of what was supposed to be my space, also kept playing with my sabor kit, I think they were friends with the staff? i could hardly look at let alone assemble my sabor as they kept trying to push me out of the way to be next to their friend that was building, kept playing my parts and handing it to they friend to try and use, all but one of the staff made it clear they could not care less, They rushed us so so much, gave us 10 seconds at most to look at our stuff before begore moving on to the next step and less time per each step after that. literally after 3 minutes started belittle the group because we hadn't finished, wife was In tears, My kit had messed up parts asked for help and all I got was "that's the way it is" like go away stupid. Mean while, the people with to many guest got to switch styles, and pick any part, from any style they wanted. only positive is the one staff guy that cared, took the time to try and turn this horrible experience around for my wife. I feel bad as he is the only one that cared about helping on our visit. Do not recommend. The parts for the element and nature, according to the staff on our Vist, are shooty and jacked up at best. So be aware on that model, should have done the control and power style, like my wife, but we wanted different things to make it ours. Not worth the cost at all. Wish we had just skipped this whole thing.

We had such a great experience with SAVI’S workshop lightsaber build. My son couldn’t stop talking about it. Staff on 8/2/23 was so on point - it made the $200 plus cost worth it. Plus the person who played Kylo-Ren on that day also made it extra special by recruiting my son to the First Order. Lol.

I am writing this review about my familys personal experience at Savi's Workshop. For those of you who do not know, Savi's Workshop is a shop located inside of one of the newer lands in Disneyland, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge where you can participate in an immersive experience of building your own custom lightsaber. My husband and I are avid Star Wars fans, so this is the perfect experience for us.This experience required a reservation in advance which can be done in the Disneyland Mobile App or on their website. We made our reservation 30 days in advance. On the day of our reservation at Savi's Workshop, we needed to ensure that we had a valid ticket to Disneyland Park, in addition to a reservation for Disneyland Park for the same date. The day has come. As we walked through Disneyland and into Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, we entered the planet Batuu West. Upon arrival at Savi's Workshop, we were greeted by a Cast Member at the check-in point. Here we confirmed our reservation, paid for our experience, and selected a pin which represents one of the four themes that lightsabers are based on. The theme/ pin selection preselects options for your custom lightsaber, and we were asked to wear it throughout our experience. This made us part of the story. Once it was time for our reservation, my husband and I were invited inside of the workshop where about 20 people gather around a U-shaped counter that was sectioned off for each participant to have our own station to build at. The Cast Members are called "Gatherers" in this experience, and they first presented us with the selection of our Kyber Crystal, this is like the heart of the lightsaber and gives it its color. We are given four choices of color, I chose violet, and my husband chose red. We were then given a tray of parts and chose what we wanted and assembled our lightsaber handles. The Gatherers are close by and available for questions throughout. After assembling the handle, you place the Kyber Crystal inside and the Gatherers come around to prepare your handle to be united with its blade. The Gatherers then lead a ceremony where we all light up our lightsabers for the first time as a group. This literally gave me goosebumps. It really was a special experience for my husband and I to share together. I was five months pregnant at the time and we decided right then and there that we would take our daughter to participate in this experience someday. We would highly recommend this for Star Wars fans. The experience was pricey, but memorable. Worth it.

Built your « own », « personnalised », « unique »… forget about those words. You’ll choose basically between 4 sets and in those sets you’ll have 2 choice for the 4 or 5 parts of the lightsaber.Looks absolutely not realistic… even the Kyber Stone is absolutely an awful piece of plastic….You can get a nice lightsaber from the movies for half the price just next door Savi’s workshop… what a waste of money and time…how can people leave a 5 star review…

Not worth it. The experience itself was rushed, could barely hear the host due to a fussing baby and the fact that he didn’t have any type of PA system. Plus it was obvious he was just reciting lines instead of leaning into the role to make it truly immersive.Later I discovered my $250 saber to be faulty with 2 pieces not locking correctly and being completely loose. We built our sabers in the evening around 6p, park closed at 11p and I didn’t realize the pieces weren’t fitting properly until right before leaving because I had it stowed away. I went to city hall and they said all I could do was either go back to Savis the following day (not an option since we built them the last day before our passes were blocked for the summer) or contact Disney merchandise.Merchandise did get back to me and agreed to send me new parts in hopes to fix the issue, and it after 2 weeks of waiting I opened the box to discover they’ve sent me parts of a different saber option. So waiting for new parts again…I honestly wish I could just return the saber. I have low hopes for the new parts actually fixing the problem, which renders the saber completely unusable besides as an overpriced display piece.
