I've loved funnel cake since I was a kid. Usually the best place to get them is at the fair because they usually cook them to order. That's not quite the case at The Stage Door Cafe. Seems like they may make them just a bit ahead to keep up with orders. While I can understand the need to keep the lines moving, just a bit underwhelming for the price of $9.49 plus tax. Interesting reviews. I’ve been eating these corndogs for as long as I can remember and I’ve never had one that wasn’t fresh. They’ve been consistently hot, tasty, and with the perfect amount of batter. What’s disappointing though, is when they serve breakfast until 10 o’clock and they run out of breakfast chimichangas by 9 AM. Stage Door Cafe is the only place you can get the breakfast chimichanga.
