Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at Disney has upped its food game since 2012. The famous pupu platter was a standout, with fresh string beans and memorable gyoza. The classic macaroni salad was also fresh. A cocktail with Dole Whip and coconut rum was surprisingly not too sweet. Reservations may be hard to get, but walking in at off-peak times like 4 PM worked well. Despite a longer wait and small table, the delicious Tonkatsu ramen and pork gyoza made the dining experience worthwhile for a group of three. Breakfast at Tangaroa is a great option without a wait, with delicious soufflé pancakes and gluten-free choices available for those with dietary restrictions. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
